A Very Easy Way To Make Char Cloth Without a Tin! 

Check Out My 100s Of Fire Making Videos Also... In a survival situation if you are fortunate enough to make fire, start thinking about your next fire immediately. Don't wait for thunderstorms to put it out or for it to burn out overnight... start thinking about making charred materials immediately. Here's an easy method of making charred materials without a tin that works with punk wood, pith, cloth, etc. Let's use cloth for an example. You'll want 100% cotton, but actually a 75% cotton and 25% man made fiber blend will still work. It'll just be a little crusty from where the synthetics melted. Simply set your pieces of cloth on fire, let it completely burn black, and then snuff it out.
