For sure. That would up the difficulty of the drill and help people learn to deal with bad leaves like over/under roll or bad hits and makes you get creative to fix and get back in position good for advanced players. I feel like this is geared just to help people begin to understand how to move the ball around and get a feel for that type of shot. I might also add to set this up and practice in different pockets not always the same one. Get a feel for shooting all over the table.
That’s a different drill. The goal of this drill is to get shape on the 8ball. Not the other balls. You place it so it’s a cut but you have to use the right weight and spin to get it to the 8
