Great episode, and the irony that these two actresses would be later casted for greys anatomy and spend almost a decade working together. This was their first time meeting and working together. Even so young they were great actresses
@@SuicideByStories pretty sure it was longer than that, as she appeared in quite a few episodes after she left as full time on the show. Maybe not consecutive days. But then again filming takes quite a lot longer and is done years or at least months before it actually releases. So my exact times are off of course. I wasn't on set 😂 Still cool to me either way
I definitely think you are confusing Hahn with someone else cuz, that other person is [almost] right, she was only on for 3 years and she was only a part of the regular cast for about 1 year of that. She also never came back again when she left at the beginning of season 5.
The fact that for both Ellen's appearances on Law & Order, she played this type of role is insane to me. I already knew she was a phenomenal actress but the fact you don't know it's her until the shoe drops.. crazy.
It's alarming that the first thing I thought when I saw the two deceased siblings and then the other sibling who survived I immediately knew it was her, been around sociopaths, psychopaths and narcissists my whole life and literally know every act they pull.
@@CherryBlossomBlyue But I was that's why I based my judgement on that, I wouldn't have known immediately if I didn't know the signs already PERSONALLY, but I guess you need your 15 seconds and that's okay, carry on😌
Yeah. This episode haunts me - I will never fully accept Mr Jerry Orbach's passing. He brings order and nuance with him always. Linda Emond and Ellen Pompeo both show up in other episodes of L and O with equal tours de force. Benjamin Bratt is a beauty and a master actor and to watch him and "Lenny" work together blooms my heart. A great great episode and season....Ms Hennessy is always stunning and to see Sam Waterston puts it all in order. Brooke Smith is somehow always surprising!!
This episode of Law & Order is called Savior episode 16 of season 6 and originally aired on NBC on March 13, 1996 and 2 actresses from Grey's Anatomy 2005- are in it Ellen Pompeo who played Jenna Weber plays Dr Meredith Grey on Grey's from 2005- and Brooke Smith who played Defense Attorney Margot Bell played Dr Erica Hahn on Grey's from 2006-2008.
And also, as a side note, Benjamin Bratt, who played Detective Rey Curtis would wind up starring on the Grey's spinoff, Private Practice, as Dr. Jake Reilly, for its final 2 seasons.
@@PhantomSims And? The family name on L& O wasn't gray, it was Weber. It was the poster of this video who called it Gray family because of Ellen Pompeo.
@@shalynnchafin4377 this video was uploaded 9 days ago , they titled this video cause of Ellen Pompeo being in Greys Anatomy, it was very much done on purpose.
@@jellyfishgrl A lot of Grey's Anatomy & Private Practice stars made a few guest appearances on Law & Order, and SVU. TR Knight played twins in a Season 13 episode, Sarah Drew played an Alcoholic teen in a Season 8 episode, Chandra Wilson was in both Season 4 & 7 episode as 2 different characters, also Sara Ramirez played 2 different characters in both Seasons 2 & 4.
The concept for this story was inspired by John List and similar cases ("family annihilator"), though they took the story in a very different direction.
They do that a lot...I think it's so they don't get sued (hence the disclaimer at the beginning). They will take a major case and then change the details, BUT it's still the same basic story.
Q: Did your dad ever hit your mother? A: He would never. I'm always suspicious of someone who answers a direct yes or no question with anything other than a yes or a no. The daughter did it, didn't she?
I don't think he would have cared anymore. His wife and son are dead, his daughter turned out to be a psychopath who had them killed. He propably just drank himself to death or chose a quicker way.
Both of Meredith Grey’s appearances on Law and Order featured her character being involved in the murder of family members. I never saw it, personally, but these allegedly terrific performances led to awards and her own TV show - still running after nearly 20 years! 😏
@@fromthehaven94 Are you talking about "Fools for Love" in season 10 - when Abby Carmichael was the ADA? Yeah, that's especially disturbing, that one. Ellen and the man who played her boyfriend were very cold. Especially the boyfriend... he really seemed so normal with no edge of creepiness at all - yet he had that proclivity for brutal rapes and murder! Usually the rapists and murderers on Law and Order give off some level of creepiness - whether convicted or not. But for him... nada.
It was implies either she did it herself or she hired her boyfriend to do it. She said it was a robbery gone wrong but McCoy caught a flaw in her statement and deduced it wasn't a robbery and she wanted her mother dead.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the scene toward the beginning with the girl in the hospital, makes me think this is the one where she enlisted her boyfriend?
When you hear the cops claim that a suspect put in for an insurance payout, that’s usually the funeral home. 2 days means that was for the funeral expenses most likely. They take it and the difference pays out. This is not evidence 😂
Because he had to learn the hard way that his daughter was a psychopath. Through the death of his wife and young son. And the fact that she tried to incriminate him on top of that for the murder of their family.
@@sarahfarr7400 I think the daughter pretty much feigned bewilderment at her dad being accused, as only someone who is involved in the actual murder would be.
@@fromthehaven94 Clair I believe said that she probably felt guilty about her dad since she know he is innocent that is why she tried hard to defend him.
It's in the listing: "Savior" (Season 6, Episode 16) Ellen Pompeo (Grey's Anatomy) plays a daughter whose family is brutally murdered. Is the drunk father to blame?... Featuring Brooke Smith (Grey's Anatomy).
@tahnalos oh wow she did it I thought she hired the bf to do it and once the bf couldn’t find his pay he went crazy and went after the rest of the family including her
Yes because she is the one Ellen pompeo/ Meredith Grey this was before Grey started half of Greys Anatomy cast has been in Law and Order like all of them even bailey, Ben.
