@@Nicamon Same, Barba was a genius. For me though I put Novak and Cabot on the same level. And I kinda liked where Cabot ended up not alot of insight what ever happened to Novak.
@Studyo Gangsta Barba is a male, actually he is the first male regular ADA, debuting in season 14 and leave in season 19, dude have class, but he is overrated asf.
@@foreverteamdamon Yeah like they were going to transfer him to some country club with tax cheats and other white collar criminals. Leavenworth was the best he could have hoped for. Casey put Morten where he belongs with the Unabomber, Terry Nichols (OKC co-conspirator), Eric Rudolph (Atlanta Olympics bomber) and all the other scum.
The look of horror on his face is so satisfying. And the best part is he wouldn't be able to easily kill himself in Florence. He'd never have access to any sort of rope or sharp object. If he starved himself they'd force a feeding tube down his throat. He'd be spending decades living his absolute nightmare.
@@emmsmom1848 For some bizarre reason some serial killers have fangirls, maybe boys too. Tiny bit curious what psychiatrists have to say about that phenomenon, assuming they don't have some other mental disorder. I suppose a handful are actually just so stupid they only care about how a person looks, very strange whatever the case. But the main thing is to keep them from trying to slip in tools to prison or whatever.
From what I hear Jeffrey Dahmer also got fan mail and money from lonely female who thought he was cute. But never thought that he prefer the team. By the time he die he had $12,000. I don't know what became of the money after this.
Alex and Casey were always my favorite ADA. They were badass on their own and play well with the SVU but also take their stand when the SVU team is doing it wrong.
Wouldn't fly these days with Olivia XD. Since rewatching from Season 19 on Olivia's become more and more antagonistic. A bit upsetting when she want them to do what she wants and they push back they need her to give them the info they need to do what she wants.
Interestingly, I wasn't impressed with his accent here. I put it down to being one of his older roles. I think he's improved it wonders in the years since.
@@xavierbeurre8064 yeah, spot on. "Twang" is the perfect word, just something not quite right. He's one of my favourite actors, just brilliant. Now his accents are beyond compare.
Ted Bundy had fan girls at every court appearance. When news broke that all his victims were Brunettes, they changed their hair. It's......very strange
What I like about Novak is she knew exactly where to hit and how to make it hurt the worst. With her putting him in a prison with 23-hour lockdown, is probably going to commit suicide not long after he gets there. Thanks for all the likes.
@@loganross4774 He wanted yo be placed in a federal prison because they get better funding and, on aversge, have better things like meals, activities and other such thjngs.
@@loganross4774 she put him in the Max security prison instead of the cushy cell in federal prison he wanted because his testimony made it easy for her to put forward the argument that he is a danger to the public. So no contact with the public for the rest of his life. It doesn’t matter whether he commits suicide or chooses to stick it out and die of old age... he will never convince another vulnerable young girl to try to kill herself or anyone else ever again. This truly was a masterpiece of Casey’s.
@@jamesrawlins735 He did an incredible job portraying James Moriarty in Sherlock Holmes Game of Shadows, him and Paul Anderson who played as Sebastian Moran were a well matched duo in that film.
I love this woman so much! She's so badass, brave, bossy and passionate. just but can be compassionate as well. I love seeing this character development through the season's she was on. She'll always be my favorite ADA in this show.
Casey was the BEST! The show imo went downhill when she left just as much as it did when Stabler, Munch, Cragen, Huang and Warner left. The OG cast of SVU will always be the best.
God I can not say enough how much I LOVE this scene where she reveals where he is going and will NEVER be near anyone ever again:) Casey you are damn awesome
@@hamadhumaid1984 that's right. Nestled in the mountains of Colorado, Florence Supermax Federal Prison is real hell in a frankly lovely stretch of mountains. I've seen photos of the compound and the immediately surrounding area.
A concrete cell where you're only let into a small area for an hour a day. Surrounded by GORGEOUS mountain scenery all around....and yet unable to see none of it once you arrive. Nothing but a small crappy television to keep you anchored to your sanity by giving you a small measure of companionship....if you're well behaved enough to actually earn it, that is.
Part of what scared me about this episode is that woman who is the president of Morton’s fan club - and wants to marry him. She appeared to be a grade school teacher! It’s scary to think that your child’s teacher could be so sick or stupid as to get involved with a convicted mass murderer! 🤮
Uh no he’s not that only works if you unfortunately kill multiple people at the same time and the same place all at ounce unfortunately you do know that right?
@@matthewforsyth284 I don't know what you're arguing about now... but this discussion took place 2 years ago! What do you really have to add after all this time?
Novak is my favorite. She is so beautiful. What's really shocking and disgusting, how people would worship a notorious serial killer. "He is Mine!!!" That woman is so disgusting.
you would be suprised how many poeple are atracted to infamy.....sociopaths are sharply intelegent and socially aware which is part of what makes them so dangerous....they could kill right in front of somone and convince the onlooker that they were some sort of victim.
@@dakotastein9499 That proves how foolish and manipulative they are. If girls should fall in love with someone they should fall for someone who respects and maybe even die trying to protect them. They should never be in love with a convicted killer.
I love Cabot and Novak but this scene right here shows why Novak takes the cake for me and was the best ADA the show ever had. Seasons 1-12 of SVU were the best and I miss seeing that cast together.
Casey, woman, you were the reason I watched law & order SVU back then. Now I'm watching again since Elliot is back, I'm watching his organized crime series too. my two favorite SVU characters!!
Similar to what Stone did in original Law and Order when he gave immunity to the perp from prosecution in New York COUNTY, which is only Manhattan, while he was then charged for crimes he did in other boroughs of the city
I absolutely love this scene, which is one of my favorite on the show. Casey really played him like a fiddle and gave a perfect line as a parting shot.
Besides the fact that she's beautiful, she's very passionate about the job and has good character. She was always my favorite, even tho I don't think she's won as many cases as the other adas.
I've honestly never had an issue with any ADA on SVU. They all bring a certain something that elevates the show in their own way. Also Jared Harris kills EVERY ROLE he plays.
Honestly out of all the female District Attorneys on this show my personal favorite is Diane (Casey), because I don't know if it's her performance or just because of her facial and physical appearances, including that woman that was a puppet of that serial killer, she definitely a cutie, so far the worst thing that anybody can go through in prison is solitary especially if you're a person that's highly sociable and loves interacting daily.
Every time I see this actor (like on The Crown), I always think about this episode of SVU. I loved this episode! Casey’s final scene with him at the end was absolutely iconic.
Jared Harris was fabulous in this episode! And if you think about it, his character has a point about it being a sort of art form; a sick, sadistic, twisted art form, yes, but an art form nonetheless. I mean, doesn’t every serial killer have a signature? An MO? Can’t they either get sloppy as time goes on or, on the flipside, improve their craft?
