For quite some time, I've been looking at replacing the main IMNC camera for something slightly more capable, with better audio and the ability to add external microphones. When the Sony ZV-1 was released a little while ago and reviews began popping up, I instantly knew that it would be an ideal upgrade for the channel.
After sharing my plans with a long term viewer of mine, Bin, to my absolute amazement he very generously made the decision to support IMNC by gifting the camera to the channel!!! I am over the moon and it still hasn't sunk in that this is happening. Bin, thank you so much. Your support is out of this world.

Oh yes for a nice wrist strap I would recommend the Peak Design ones! They have a super neat clip system so when using it on a tripod it’s easy to remove or even to interchange with a regular strap :)

You definitely deserve this awesome upgrade! The S120 has been solid although I feel the focusing has been hit and miss at times. Glad the new camera absolutely nails this. Love seeing the channel still continuing to grow and evolve, keep up the good work man!

Congrats Tom ! I too purchased the ZV1 and have been loving it. Been using it both for personal use as well as work videos as it matches and in certain areas beats the camera we use at my workplace : the Sony RX10 II. Combine it with a Rode Videomicro or Rode Wireless Go and it's just an absolute beast. I've ordered the Smallrig cage for the ZV1 to turn it into a miniature cinema camera rig and I plan on ordering a Filter Adapter to mount ND filters / polarising filters / wide angle lenses. Welcome to the ZV1 family mate, if you want any tips let me know

No problem about the support Tom! i love IMNC and i love how you're unique from any other tech RU-vidr, i love the rambling and i love some of the videos like when you got rid of the Mac Pro and the rollercoaster on that. been a long time fan since, 2014 i believe? With that out of the way, i've been looking at buying the Canon PowerShot SX730 HS for my channel, i'm pretty sure the camera is a little more of a budget version of the G7X Mark 2, i've been looking at it specifically because i'm done filming videos on an iPhone, and since they're only 200 used, it's a nice quick upgrade to something i'd realistically be able to afford, and obviously at some point i'll upgrade to something even better, but i just want to get something now to finally bump up video quality from recording on my personal iPhone 8 to where something bad can happen…

Thanks so much! I'm not familiar with that model in particular, but after a quick search it looks like it'll be a great choice. It's also worth it for the convenience in my opinion. I've always hated filming on the iPhone, just because it takes forever to get the footage off the thing. Whipping out a nice speedy SD card and importing directly from that is so much quicker and easier.

I don't want to be offensive, but this upgrade was much needed. I could hardly watch any of your videos recorded with the Canon because the background noise and especially this kind of hissing noise DRIVES ME CRAZY. Maybe it's different through laptop or phone speakers but through decent to quite good headphones I can barely stand this distracting noise trying to drill a hole into my brain xD

It's fantastic, but not without it's problems. If you're looking for an older generation MacBook Pro, you can't go wrong with a late 2013 15" model.

Do you think the Panasonic GH5 might not be a good enough camera? (Maybe I might get that it might be too bulky and you would have to buy a set of lenses to go with it (Micro Four Thirds mount), but its larger sensor would mean less image noise) Also, would 4K take a lot longer to render? (And I guess ARM Macs will be such a bad idea when taking the amount of time it takes to render a 4K video in a video editor that x86-64 will always take the cake. Just build a Ryzen PC and switch to Windows. Screw ARM. If anybody is talking about the world's fastest supercomputer being ARM-based, it's just a fluke). Sorry for getting so angry lately, I just think ARM is inferior to x86-64 and any attempt to make ARM superior to x86-64 will be flukes to me.
