She bought Caitlin time to tie her shoe. Jackie untied her shoe to re-tie it, so the ref held the ball because Jackie was the inbounder. That gave Caitlin time to re-tie her own shoe and get back on defense before the next possession.
They are talking. Thats why she tapped her shoulder and the ref stepped in to make sure it was professional. Shes not giving her extra time to tie her shoe, shes talking to her. Probably telling her to calm down

It's a sport, not babysitting. Respect is earned in sport but compassion has no place in a game where your opponent is trying to demolish & embarrass you. You either don't understand sport or just started and it shows. CC will be fine, she'll earn the respect of her peers like any rookie before her did with time & by balling
