Glad to see more videos for the Combat Mission series. This series is fantastic, and I have been playing since early 2000. One thing of note is not to have your men fatigued (Running will fatigue the crap out of them) Look at the weather and conditions because this will affect anything from Mortars to your men getting tired from running long distances and hunting for long periods. Unlike modern Officers, you will want your men to stay with their platoon leader to get the bonus from that HQ unit. Use your menu option to select this option to see if you are in the range of your officer GhostRider3/3 from the forums.
14:10, yeah but you should have send the correct officers. You send the officer of the platton which you send down the treeline into the little bush, and the officer belonging to the mortars down the treeline. Officers in Combat Mission are not general Officers, but they belong to a certain unit and should stay with that unit.
Maybe for Platoon action as you can still pause it, however in larger scale missions basically Company size an up its really meant for Wego. But yep you can play real time.
One of my biggest struggles in CM is not quitting the moment I take mass casualties. Honestly this just goes to show that even a losing battle can be an epic battle! Hell of a fight. That direct mortar hit on the Puma at the end was beautiful 🤌
