I really like Sonic's shoes and the many variations that they have like the SOAP Shoes, The Sonic Prime Shoes, The Movie Shoes, etc. Are Sonic's shoes what make him fast or is it something else? As a matter of fact, Sonic's favorite color is actually red, and not blue. I think his shoes go very well with his design. It adds cosmetic to his speed and his design itself and that's what I really admire. Interesting video, man! I've never would've thought of this topic for a video, but you made it entertaining. I should have talked about that in the video! argh! back then and in some old media, it was assumed that it was the shoes that made him fast. However, it has been made clear that he is fast with or without them! Glad you enjoyed the video!!🙏❤️

Sonic's shoes aren't what makes him fast. He's naturally super fast. The shoes are just part of his style. But there is a power up from the classic games called power sneakers I think, that make him run even faster.

And Sonic's design in that game? Easily one of the most underrated and overlooked Sonic design by far.

I have been desperately wanting game accurate Sonic shoes for a long time (and tbh who hasn't), but the fact that they're classified as boots intrigues me. How do you run at near light speed in boots? And honestly, if people are wanting Sonic's shoes/boots, there's also people who want Shadow's rocket shoes. (And I'm one of them as well)
I love the sonic shoes in the sonic movie and in the sonic adventure 2 game! Something that always bugged me about Sonic's shoes, is that the "buckles" aren't holding the end of a strap like an actual buckle would. They come across more like decorative pieces imo.

Yes, but I still prefer Sonic with Socks instead of his shoes being boots. I don’t care about the canon shoe and sock things. I can have Sonic both boots and socks and it can work. The Movie Shoes are much cooler for me.
The question I have in terms of the shoes is how they are still in good condition. Sonic’s been running in them for so long, so how has he prevented them from wearing out?
He could just be buying new versions of the shoes. I mean for all we know they could just be a common brand in his world, especially in a place called "Christmas Island". Although he could also just be REALLY good at taking care of shoes, he could be taking them to get fixed up every once in a while, or the shoes are magic lol.

they're probably not dirty or anything because they're frictionless, which is probably why they're never beat up or anything. I assume dirt and whatnot just slips off and keeps them clean. but I dunno cuz that's just speculation
I have a theory that Sonic got his shoes by helping Santa and that's why they never got old or something like that, And my Santa new he couldn't swim so- Boots? Or even for snow, who knows, I think it's kinda cute if u think about it.
Man I really wish they would make some 1 to 1 Sonic shoes. I wouldn't even wear them all the time, maybe just for some good running days, but it would be sick souvenir.
Hearing that those white cuffs are not actually socks but are part of the boots themselves has me wondering, does that mean Sonic runs around without any actual socks?
@@trqsh_can I don't really believe it would be as much as an issue for them than it would be for us since they have big blob like feet covered in thick and cushiony mass of fur and muscle. For reference look at Tikal or Big since they both wear sandals.
The only shoe I will always want are the Sonic Soap Shoes. Although Soap is gone, I pray that someone will make the actual Soap Shoes that Sonic wears in SA 2 and they will be my everyday shoe. Also I hope Fila will release the Movie Sonic Shoes again but they better keep them available to all who wants to buy them, not make them limited edition
I would definitely not wear the exact Sonic shoes, but the Puma design is one that I love. The little strap in the middle is nice and I plan to get a pair similar to that design.
With some stuff I found,classic sonics shoes are boots,modern Sonics are sneakers that CAN remove the white part and boom is low top shoes or something
I like the classic shoes as much as all the other attire that sonic wears but if I were to choose what type of shoes I would to be made real would be the soap shoes since they're actually and all I need to do is throw $100 of mine into a dumpster fire along with a little customization or I would want the riders style shoes to be made after the classic shoes become real
I guess I like the idea of different versions, but I prefer the times where those white cuffs are socks. I just can’t think of sonic drifting and running all that time without thick socks for cushioning. And yet all I ask is for sega to release Amy and rouge boots.

I was wondering when someone was gonna address this about sonic wearing socks or boots cuffed down. I always assumed it was socks, a lot of people and a lot of media also assumed that, but yeah it's official, they are boots cuffed down and not socks and sneakers. Kinda blew my mind and is probably why I really like the movie version as that's what I always assumed them to be!
Baby Sonic had small bag shoes. A decade later Teen Sonic had normal but messy, beaten up shoes. And now has the ionic red & white shoes we've all know and love thanks to a sweet little girl.

Actually if Sega or anyone else won’t make the shoes or boots then we will we did the same with Unleashed not being ported to Pc and we made it in generations we can just do the same with the shoes make them ourselves and sell it.

In a lot of media they call Sonic's shoes High-Tops AOSTH, SATAM even the Archie called them his "Indestructible Turbo high-tops" to keep his feet safe while running
Initially I thought the idea of the "sock" being part if the shoes was really cursed, but upon further thought, look at Hi-top converse. They have a very similar structure, but the top matches the main shoe color rather than white. It's a lot easier to swallow when looked at like that.
I never really thought that Sonic had socks I always assumed that the white top was a part of his shoe especially since his feet aren't covered up by socks. But WOW! Sonic wears boots and not sneakers?! That was a freaking mind blown! EEP! Lol:)

I’m ashamed to admit this drove me crazy and I proceeded to fold every pair of my mom’s boots I could find to prove this is actually the case, and they all folded inside out to reveal a soft cuff material fold, just like Oshima said.....
Other confusing thing about Sonic shoes is his classic counterpart (the soles on the shoes 🥴💫). Like did he get this shoe someone after saving every creature from Robotnik/Eggman in his past adventuring or is it before heading off to Station Square he gets some new shoes to go with his green eyes look, actually the some thing can say about Tails too and his shoes. Like they can't be the same shoe right.
5:53 TIL that this brand is called Fila and not Fils. and now I feel stupid for thinking that it was called Fils. the reason for my assumption is cursive writing, specifically how you write a lowercase "s". but now that I think about that, it doesn't make any sense for them to make only one letter cursive. but it never crossed my mind that they might just be called Fila.
The gravitational push that's making him move forward is greater than the gravitational pull of the ground, his shoes could possibly compensate the small distance between his shoes and ground but outputting more fuel to maintain that gap like a gyroscope

The chances of Sega to create and release the game accurate sonic shoes are the same of a collaboration with the restaurant chain sonic. But one thing is sure, IF it will ever happen is going to be USA exclusive, as always (i live in italy🥲)
