As a lifetime 49ers fan, this video just makes me happy that most of my Cowboy fan friends will not have a thing to talk about at work and will avoid talking about football at all costs. I joyfully shared it to every one of them every day for an entire week. Prior to the game they put Cowboys stickers on the windshield of the 336 GC excavator I operate blocking my view, its only fair I shared this video daily with them even months later so they don't forget.

Cowboy fans will remember that "The Catch" was not the heartbreak of that game. There was still decent time left and Cowboys threw a pass to mid-field. They had a center screen set up and it was going to work to get them inside the 35 but Danny White lost a fumble. That was the real pain.

I believe it was the play right before that where Heath blitzed untouched and blew up Rodgers. Credit to Rodgers, who never saw him coming, for hanging on to the ball. If Heath had been a smart player, he would have stripped Rodgers for a fumble. Then you never know what might have happened.

Packers fan from northern Wisconsin. Rodgers to Jared Cook is my all time reception. That got them in field goal range and Mason Crosby hit the FIRST field goal but it did not count because Dallas called time out. But he hit the second one just inside the post. Love to see me some Jerry Jones. Just Sayin'.

As a Green Bay fan I can say Dallas got hosed on the Dez catch/incomplete pass. Loved every second of it.

@@m.c.martin The problem was the rules were too ambiguous. People who had literally played the game couldn't tell what a catch was. So yeah, they got hosed.

@@dano3523 I played football and knew it wasn’t a catch at the time. Dez did too much and it cost them. The ball came loose and thus incomplete. Even the NFL confirmed it wasn’t a catch at the time

@@m.c.martin lol. The nfl are the one's that made the ambiguous rule, of course they're going to confirm it. Did you really believe they would say, "Oh $h!t, you're right. We really screwed the pooch on that one!" Too funny dude. And players who played in the nfl said it was a catch. And the nfl later rewrote the rule. So yeah, they got hosed. Couldn't have happened to a better team, except maybe the Bears.

Joe Montana said Ed “too tall” jones pushed him out of bounds after he threw the ball to Clark for “The Catch.” And as Jones helped him up, Montana says Jones said, “congratulations, you just beat America’s team.” To which, Montana replied, “well, I guess that means you’ll be watching us in the Super Bowl with the rest of America.” Thing is, America didn’t declare the cowboys its team. The cowboys declared themselves America’s team. If you’re gonna do such a jackass thing, expect lots of people to HATE you.

That's not true. NFL Films dubbed them America's Team.....and it was true at that time. And judging by these comments, it still has some truth. I don't see a video like this covering the Giants.

bill farley You are such a clown. It was Bob Ryan from NFL films who gave the Cowboys the nickname in 1978. Even if the Cowboys gave themselves that nickname, so what, but didn’t happen. Know your history, you clown.
