Master L'Estrange writes his own tales, too! May I suggest though late in season, ( well Christmas shopping starts in early July here in my part of Canada- whole world is Lewis Caroll know though, tarent it!) Visiting Hours, a poignant, story as well written as many novels published now. All of his tales are worthy, add Jasper to the pantheon. Let me know how you like them- 3 Christmas, and a few others as good as The Masters, in tone, language- he actually uses words with more than 2 syllables- lit. snob here- Jasper writes in the tone of this period, Victorian pr Edwardian but he is quite capable of using modern mores- but them murder! Is a Timeless Art as is the Revenge of a Spirit! My mom died last Christmas, Dec 28th, 2021, and if I hadn't had Visiting Hours, for comfort don't know how I'd have coped as well as I did...Welcome fellow traveler.

Make sure to listen to the back catalog for many great stories , exceptionally performed ! He not only has a few self written tales , but ol' boy sings , plays music , adds great effects and whatever else that expands storytelling to true performance art ! This channel is the real deal ! 💀🎱💀

inspired presentation of a good story.....admirably spare and judicious use of special effects.....i always like these voices out of the past of englishmen at the height of their academic and imperial powers before the new world order and overpopulation and instantism .......................a steam locomotive stopping at english country villages and a bicycle...heaven on earth

Thank you so much. You're not meant to, I know, but reading some of these stories it's hard not to pine for simpler times. You know, taking a bicycle out to look at an old church is a perfectly acceptable holiday, and all that. Nowadays a lot of people don't seem to have much of a connection to their own environment. I work with a lot of gen zedders and millennials and recently had to explain to one what a canal is. It's hard not to feel acute despair 😔

Never hear this one before, but is is a goodie!! I love the story. I love the plot and backstory on this one. It is excellent. This guy really knew how to write a good yarn. Fantastic narration and sound! The squire cracked me up. I laughed many times he spoke. He reminds me of my dad. I am going to tell him and make him listen to this with me. Thanks for doing this for us amd introducing this tale to me.

Thanks Jasper. Had actually forgotten what a good one this was. We need more M.R James! Suspect Monty James must have done voices when he first read the stories allowed at Christmas. So, this channel, is the IDEAL home for them. This is a BIG complement. But I think fully deserved.
