You were so fortunate. If I had not only seen all that luscious Butterprint in one place, but bought it at such a bargain as you did, I probably would have passed out from being over excited.
I watch all your videos, I just love them!! You have taught me so much on antique glassware, I am so grateful! One day I hope to sell online too. Thank you!
Thank you so much for all the valuable information you send out with so much love. I have learned so much. This message comes to you all the way from Puerto Rico.
My regular dishes that we use daily are all Fiestaware. I got into them about 8 years ago. My problem is trying to choose just a few colors and stick to them. I go to a second hand store or antique store and find pieces that aren't in my colors but the price is so good I can't resist buying them! I love looking for them. I love the Plum colorway and they don't make it anymore. Recently we went to a Goodwill that we had never been to before. I get to the glass section and my jaw dropped and I thought I was seeing things. I even checked the bottom in case I was seeing things! There were around 15 bowls in the Plum colorway, just waiting for me. There were 3 sizes and I am still ecstatic that I found them. It's like a treasure hunt every time we go to the Goodwill or other places. Here about 3 years ago I came across square plates of Fiestaware. I couldn't resist bringing them home and I love using those too. Thank you for the information about the Pyrex. I think everyone has had Pyrex in their kitchens. That is fun finding at the Goodwill too! Here's what I found on ebay! www.ebay.com/itm/PYREX-Rare-HTF-443-PROTOTYPE-TOOL-FOR-EMPLOYEE-CINDERELLA-BOWL-BLUE-GREEN-DOT/223472976638?hash=item34080702fe:g:HxgAAOSwQBBcMO~n
LOVED the Top 10 Most Popular Pyrex Patterns. Fun and very informative. I always learn so much from you. Thank you!! You bless your viewers and blessings were sent back to you with your awesome yard sale finds. Wow! - Ronni
I have the blue and yellow Pyrex bowls...still on the hunt for red and green...glad you gave more information on how to distinguish them...I’ll keep a look out for that...thanks!
A couple of months ago while at the Goodwill I found 4 pieces of the Pyrex pattern called FRIENDSHIP BIRDS with lids. I paid $7.00 for all four dishes. Tonight I just sold the last one for $45.00 Normally I stay away from Pyrex because I do not find good patterns or they are in such bad shape. Nice haul!!!
Hey there, Michelle. What a fun idea! You know that we are all going to list which ones we have too?!! I have #8, #7(in all three colors), #6 new dots yellow only, (#4--Oh my, I passed up an extensive, entire set of Terra at a garage sale less than a 1/2 mile from my house about 2 years ago. I didn't like the pattern so I didn't get it. Dumb!!!), #3, #2, and I would be the world's biggest fibber if I said that I had #1. We can only dream. You are the luckiest woman in the world, and it couldn't happen to a nicer person. So thrilled that you found all that Pyrex at such good prices!! And 75% of the primary set too! You had an excellent week. That last shot of you surrounded by your collection was so fun. : )
Hi D! Thank you..wow you have some great pieces..terracotta not my favorite either and was very surprised to see it on the list! I guess it represented the model look back in the day❤😊
Thanks for the info Michelle, I wasn't sure how much Pyrex was worth, I'll be on the lookout. Also, I just bought a milk crate full of Staffordshire Old Granite pattern plates and bowls, about 60 pieces, including a butter plate, coffee cups, platters, salt and pepper shakers, etc., paid $20. The kicker is the milk crate they came in is a vintage Twin Pines crate worth about $50, nice bonus. I've already made money on your advice, Thanks, Randy, Stony Creek Picker
Hi Michelle. That was a fabulous haul. I've been collecting Pyrex for over 30 yrs. I only buy it now "in the wild". It's gotten so expensive for even the most common pattern. I have a large set of the Terra; mugs, chili bowls, large plates, and several lidded casseroles. I like it because it's so different from the normal Pyrex look. I'm also a Fiesta fanatic. I bought the Lilac when it came out in the early 90's, it was what we used daily. Now it's so collectible that I've put it on the basement shelves for viewing only. Best wishes. Hugs.
I’m not a Pyrex collector, but I have a couple nice pieces that I received as a wedding gift. I’ve used them fifty plus years and they’re still in great shape. I’ll never part with them. I always enjoy learning more about glass and China. Thank you again.
Oh Michelle, I'm torn between being so happy for you finding all that great stuff and being so jealous......I'll choose happy and hope you continue to be "Lucky in Thrifting".♥️
I was happy to find a Pyrex turkey platter at the goodwill on Sunday. Have no idea when it was produced. Can't wait to use it for the holidays. What a score at that yard sale! Thrilling.
Love those bowls,me n Hilary are collecting the ivy hazel atlas right now , 7 pieces make a set we have three middle pieces well I have two and she has one. So the race is on lol!!!! Sherri
Lucky in love in on my list. NOW. You will be the first to find out if I find It LOL. What great finds. So Happy you got them. GREAT prices to. A dollar each sounds familiar.
LOLOL...guess who I thought of when I found it...yup...YOU...not quite as good but good enough! Oh yeah lucky in love..look up the piece so you don't pass it up when ya find it!!!
Thank you for this video. I thoroughly enjoyed the list in the beginning. I don't think I've ever seen numbers 4 or 5. Maybe I've seen the stripes and just don't remember. I love, love , love taking a peek at part of your actual collection. Hope to do that again sometime.
Have the Fiesta vase in navy, I think in the same size as the red. Purchased it sometime in the late 80s or early 90s, I think. They had at least one other smaller size too. Has lived on my mantle with silk or fresh flowers ever since. Love the Pyrex ranking!
I recently picked up two glass, what I think are, ice cream bowls. They are pink with a ridged pattern on the outside, smooth inside, and flat handles. Also, they are painted on the outside (inside is clear glass) with pink. The impressed pattern on the bottom is a starburst. I can't find any signature. Can you help me identify?
OMG! When I saw those primary color Pyrex mixing bowls it took me back. My Mom had those! I still have at least a couple of them. I was so happy you were able to get the nesting bowls in your pattern at such a great price. They really are pretty. (You were so cute in the last outtake.) 😊❣️😊
Hi Willa! I am going to make sure I do that more often!! lol...for sure...I hope...my biggest problem is I never have cash on me so I always miss out...will have to make sure I have cash on the weekends!! xo :)
@@thrifting101...identifybuy3 For sure and lucky You will find some super items. Will be waiting to see what you find. Can not believe that Lady had such a collection and glad she sold it to you.❤️😊
@@thrifting101...identifybuy3 Thank you, yes I found it fun and educational, and I really liked that you gave the dates when they were produced. Wow; that's quite a wait, congratulations on finally getting them (and at such a low price) 🎆🎉!
Wow great deal from that yard sale, Especially on the Pyrex Butterprint...i am longtime collector of Pyrex and never been able to come across the 404 size Butterprint...Amazing it alone sales for $80-100 most times. I sold my 3 set Butterprint mixing bowls for $65 months ago that 404 makes that set! Awesome find. Do you find alot of Promos in Florida? I live out west I find some, I just bought 1969s Spirograph 475 and 1972s Pineapple Party Chip and dip set 404-401... Great video Great haul
Hi Lisa...which ones do you have that I don't? Probably better odds of winning the lottery than finding one lol...thanks I was so thrilled when I saw them. I had no idea what pyrex she had! xo :)
@@thrifting101...identifybuy3 I have the same ones you also have. Except the black and gold striped one. I have had several of the black and white snowflake ones, but I sold them! I would love a set of the striped ones, but like you I only have the pink one. I love finding vintage items but I also truely enjoy seeing what others are finding too.
So I was thinking my dots bowl is my favorite but in my mind it was Federal. Then I decided to look at the pyrex website you mentioned and there was my blue polka dot bowl. So I do have that.
The best deals on Pyrex are at yard sales, if you're lucky enough to find it! I randomly have found a few of the white on blue Butterprint casseroles in the past couple of weeks, but I haven't found any blue on white Butterprint except for my 441. 😉 Finding that whole mixing bowl set must have been such a great feeling!
I have a set of 5 Fiesta nesting bowls I found in the early 90s, pre 1993 in perfect condition in pastel shades. I also have two serving bowls, one aqua one gold that are about 2.5 to 3 inches deep. They were my mothers and I treasure them. Have a Pyrex full day.
Hi Cynthia...sounds lovely...I had used to have the fiestaware as my everyday dinnerware and sadly lost it in a divorce and now working on another full set!! Just NEVER get tired of fiestaware!! xo :)
Love this one Michelle! I never knew there was so many different pyrex! I had only 2 sets over the years brown old orchard and the primary coloured mixing bowls. All given away now except I do have the large original primary yellow bowl. If only I knew then what I know now! Lol
Thanks Rose! Oh true that Rose!! The primary bowl set is bringing good money for a full set in good condition. I am still looking all over my house for my large yellow...its like it just disappeared!!! xo :)
Wow! What a score on the Amish Butter bowls! I love the pink! The turquoise is pretty too. My SIL collects Fiesta ware, not sure if she still does. Things have to "speak" to me when I am Thrifting. What is the ultimate thing you are on the hunt for??? TFS.😊 💖 👍 😉
Hi Nancy...AHHH to find the pink would probably give me a heart attack!! Well, other than lucky in love (haha) I have been on the lookout for the pyrex turquoise and the pink nesting bowl sets, or fridge dishes...finding either of those sets would make me very happy!! xo :)
Just discovered your channel 😃. So interesting to listen to all of your tidbits about glassware. Where do you find out about all of these items? I have always loved to thrift and rummage and recently thought I maybe should start a collection of some sort. Any suggestions?
Welcome Aboard Tina!! I either already know it or look or scroll thru the internet...so much info out there! Collection...there are so many options. Here is what I think, next time you are out thrifting and find something you love start collecting that!! xo :)
I wanted to see Lucky in Love so I googled. One was sold by Goodwill of Western NY online in 2017 for $5994.. I wonder who donated that. Sure no clue!!🙄
What fantastic finds! I was doing a happy dance for you 😉. To clean the burned black mess off the Glassbake piece, try using spray on oven cleaner. It won’t damage the print, believe it or not. I have rescued many pieces that I thought would never come clean that way. Just leave it on for 15 minutes, that usually does the trick. I have my fingers crossed that we all find a piece of Lucky in Love !
Hi Lisa! Yeah, I don't have any oven cleaner but am gonna pick some up tomorrow for sure! I can use it over the print??? I would never have guessed that. LUCKY IN LOVE FOR ALL XO :)
Yup, won’t take the print off. I rescued most of my Butterprint nesting bowls that way. I know it is hard to believe. I first did it on pieces that were pretty much ruined. I figured what did I have to lose.
Lucky in Love is so pretty, probably will never see it in the "wild". Curious to how many made and who has it! Thank you Michelle, had fun with this one!
Red is my favorite. I had a pretty red set of ironstone. I had to give it to my daughter. I have arthritis in my hands and it was too heavy. Sure hated to give it up.
Score on the Pyrex! I didn’t know about the Fiestaware vases. Thank you for showing me something new😊 I few weeping gold pieces 😊I have a few pieces of the “blueberry” Glasbake pieces as well! Loved this video Michelle❤️💗💕🥰😍
OMG 😲 what a great find - love Pyrex - I have almost all the butter print - need the butter dish lost mine in a fire ugh - still on the hunt - thanks for sharing
Hi Michelle What a great haul. You got an excellent dream on that pyrex casarole dishes and nesting bowls. Sure would like to find that $4000 . dollar pyrex bowl. LOL Have a great week. Leta
