You know, this reminds me of a polish book called "5 sekund do IO", which means "5 seconds to IO", and the book is about a next-gen VR, where you can exactly feel things or even experience death. Althougth the thingies aren't real, but the game mixes up with your brain so much, that you can't tell a difference between reality and virtuality, so if someone kills you in the game you don't die irl, but the brain is so convinced about your dead state, that it can stop your basic living functions and then you die. I really recommend this book if there is translation or you're Polish/know polish. Ps. There's second part of the book, if you wish to read it

A great short movie, I would suggest you to work out on the timeline of the makeup, in some scenes the main character had blood in some places, magically blood disappears between scenes. But good work.
