I love your homes, your paintings and especially the libraries of books you and your husband own, Also beautiful are your collections of wonderful objects and statues and figurines. Also I want to mention your beautiful gardens in your country estate. Last of all I love your adorable pets and your love and affection for them. You are a remarkable woman and your husband is lucky is have a woman with such exquisite taste
I could listen to Bunny all day long. I have a very (very) modest income but I've used so many of her decorating "philosophy's" in my decorating and everyone who comes into my home comments on how "lovely" it is. Thank-you, Bunny.
A woman after my own heart. Having been an antiques dealer for 39 years, I love the thrill of the hunt, buying something, and making it fit in. My Victorian is eclectic and on overload...and I can't stop buying! Particularly love all the books- and keep buying more!
Every time I watch her it is with sheer joy. I don't love everything she loves but I can understand and appreciate why she does. She is a very welcoming, and I am sure I would love being a guest at one of her dinners. I look forward to seeing more videos and enjoying her stories. Thank you for posting these short vignettes!
I have a degree in design, but never worked too much in it. I was mostly a stay-at-home mother and community volunteer. But I love your style. Back in the 70’s I bought the best antiques and and English and colonial reproductions I could. I refuse to give them up even though so many people tell me that they are out of styl out of style
Ooooooh! I loved this. Especially the bedside table!! Much nicer and less dusty than mine (!) but so lovely to see a table belonging to a creative, intelligent person with ideas ... and the wherewithall to write them down.
I’ve always adored this style of interior design. These beautiful, eclectic pieces, antique chairs with original textiles and a well proportioned sofa with clean-lines and a neutral fabric. Lovely objets d’art arts on table tops. This is my natural taste, so to speak. This type of interior design is something I’m not bad at executing - I was brought up with this. But I’ve been intimidated by the admonishments that this decor is not in style - it’s not aspirational or appealing to people now. The more minimal, pared down, clutter free decor is what’s stylish. I can’t manage that style at all. It’s only important for two reasons: insecurity and if you want to market your apartment. Unless it’s Bunny Williams’s level of perfection real estate brokers want it all gone and no “clutter.”
In this, Bunny gives us a primer on interior design as it relates to one’s actual life, and a reminder that the best design is more than a stage set. Thank you , Ms. Williams.
I stumbled upon the video and just couldn't click off I was drawn in, what a lovely inviting home and I love the silver pieces, the turtle and charming hostess.
LOVE IT ... LOVE IT ... LOVE IT ! This is exactly the way I think a home should be. Culture club ! Everything that reflects the owner and are from around the world's different time periods. The harmony Of design, texture, and color's just makes it a pleasure to saunter and absorb without being overwhelmed. That's talent ! Thanks for sharing 😊
Love, love, love Bunny Williams! I have been a big fan forever and love the fact that her collecting ranges from thrift to the Paris flea markets and high end auction houses ! I have watched every single RU-vid that features Bunny. You will always learn something new with Bunny. She is a treasure and an inspiration!
I seem to spend my life looking at beautiful things they bring me joy and peek into many designers but, I have to say YOU Do It all for me a classic mismatch of the old and the new together ❤ and as YOU say if it quality and beautiful it will speak for itself. Beautiful, classic, contemporary I LOVE it all even the way you carry it through to your dress style so inspired by YOU
Bunny 🐰 I love your style and I’ve watched you for decades. I must say it’s refreshing in this unfortunate age of throwing everything away and starting over you are here to show how it’s done.. I love living with the things we’ve loved and collected. We just built a contemporary home incorporating all our antiques on display for we love them and have had them for year’s. I’ve just incorporated a few contemporary pieces for updating and it works very well! Thank you for sharing these timeless idea’s and inspiring generations of homemaker’s !♥️🥂💫
She is so inspiring, very matter of fact. I would love to be a guest at one of her dinner parties. Such an interesting life. Her country home is also stunning if you get the chance to watch the video.
I remember Bunny's iconic vivid blue room with the modern red chair on the cover of a magazine - I studied that room, the mix was perfection, compelling, and it changed my way of decorating. Bunny is a master of wabi sabi - effortlessly achieving the perfect mix, always elegant, refined, tasteful and oh so inviting, comfortable, and always practical. Thank you, Bunny!
Bunny I absolutely adore your taste. I have just ordered some of your books in hopes they can help me but my electric home together. However if you ever take charity cases or want to put on a show that directs someone how to put there house together directly, please come to visit me on Saddlebrooke. Tucson Az. I have a sweet little dog named Magoo. I am a good cook and have plenty of wine. Sincerely Patricia Whetzel
Always been a fan but admired you even more when you said, “we buy art because we love it we don’t think of where it’s going to go”. This has always been my motto. Thank you for sharing your fabulous warm home.
Bendiciones!!
Your great interesting ideas includes condo/apartment is not only residential places but reflects out in your hairstyle, your clothing and the way you present your ideas, wonderful.
Great idea the large next to bed table. I have a typical size with drawers, but it’s not enough for all the books and necessities. They really need to be spread out for use at hand.
Hello Bunny, I love how you love something, you buy it, then it works beautifully. You certainly have a natural talent. I’m looking forward to more Bunny Williams Home.
I love this place. It is a continuation of the beautiful spaces you’ve designed for yourself and is obviously very personal - fitting like a very stylish but well loved shoe. The feeling of comfort to me is the most important, and that comes from exactly what you say about thinking of how a room is used. “I’m going to sit here in the light and read the paper and will want to put down my coffee.” Something as basic as that makes a room easy and work well. It’s not just “decorated.” It’s designed to live.
Bunny-Such a treat to see your various projects and homes! Especially as a designer, ( I worked with Suzanne Tucker for many years)who has seen many beautiful houses, rooms, and objects, what is so striking and special to me about your and John's homes is the way you live in and use the spaces-It imbues the spaces with soul and a very distinct feeling of welcome The flowers, books, art, and dogs do not disappoint! Brava! Brava! Appreciate the chance to visit New York and Connecticut while still not back to traveling due to the pandemic. Sending lots of good wishes from San Francisco! Thank you for sharing!
Love the candle holder/safe, the jars can look unsightly great idea,I like the solutions you work out.I love the fabric walls I was thinking who makes that ,and you answered the question,..love it! Thank you please do more videos I really learn a lot from you and enjoy the items and stories and uses for them.Stay safe, best wishes from a Canadian in Connecticut!
I always appreciate viewing these videos and hearing the stories behind the found objects ... I have found as I am graciously aging I started to gift my item away thoughtfully...and now live with only a few items I love ...less to take care of and less for a decluttered mind .but I do thank you for sharing your world..
I adore your table setting and decorating ideas to mix vintage and modern and have an elegant livable designer function-able home. I’m learning a lot. Your knowledge is unmatched.
Once, a decorator thought that I was mad-insane when she commented negatively about my "tacky" French wired bedside table lamps. Naturally, I viewed her as naïve and inexperienced in her field of work. She had obviously never seen the inside of a Parisian apartment. It will be my pleasure to send her the link to your video. Everyone who is anyone always has French wiring on traditional style table lamps. We're not talking about a Tizio - obviously. Of course, while adjusting the Tizio she thought that it was an "architects" lamp.
She and her husband are wonderfully creative people who have slipped into legends really. The apartment of course is very 90’s cosmopolitan chunky Euro with obvious USA bulky lines. This would had looked amazing back in the day. Now it’s a bit crowded too brown and sage green. The minimalistic (60’s then 2000’s) and maximalist (80’s then 2017) of movements have created a more ordered less chaotic curated look.
An equality of quality; that's an interesting idea. Bronze or rattan and how well everything is executed and finished. I get it AND little drinks tables: my best last purchase. Small round marble and brass.
So glad to have found this video! The tour on the Quintessence channel had that very noisy, exclaiming interviewer, which was very unnecessary & distracting.🙏🏽
WOW! What a glimpse into the Master's space (I'm reading Sister Parish's bio now, btw). This video is eye-popping (would we expect any less?). Texture and fabrics in small doses: EXACTLY (I hunt the thrift shops here in Los Angeles for remnants, finding dazzling high-end leftovers for pennies on the dollar to be used as small table coverings and when I want to temporarily conceal something that's not quite right. I was at a small party last night and had to put my drink on the floor due to no small table by my chair. NOOOOOO! When will they learn? I must respectfully disagree with Mary Ellen re the track; the light jazz swings nicely and adds to the flow and feel of the vid. Thanks for this treat, Bunny; I'm drooling now. You are the reigning ID Queen.
Thank you for the opportunity to see your lovely home with so many of your cherished things around your home. I would offer that the music is distracting and annoying.
