Another great video Mike, very interesting, we visited Alcatraz in 2016, a formidable place, good to see that they carry out tours of places like these.

I noticed this video was uploaded in 2021. Am I correct to guess that the video was made a few years before that. Reason I say that is on year one the reception area was there and the next year they were gone. I found that a lot of items wee removed
Harold - you're absolutely correct - and not so much. The exterior shots were filmed in 2020. The interior imagery was obtained during one of the earliest prison tour in 2013. Sorry if changes over the years led to disappointment. I was unaware of them. Thanks for raising the issue. I have altered the description to make future visitors aware that there may be differences in what they see on their visit.
actually youre wrong on walls. the east wall now was NOT there 1898 . the original east wall look where parking lot is. the original wall half gone .the se guard tower now wasnt original. original end of original east wall. the dome you see now was replaced in 1954 . hit by lightning the weather vane on top. under the dome they kept the crazies chained up until the prison of isolation was finished 1845. i saw the chains. they also had the dungeon under the west side building running north south. you would stand straight for days on end. only a bucket for slop. when i was there the 2 buildings i described were treatment center .rtc. the west side building i lived in .i seen the dungeon from 1800s. theres tunnels the stairs in the work building middle are floating. complete mystery since 1892. 1992 they were touched up. the 4th floor added to treatment building east side for the warden. not the KP one .we had seperate.i was a psychiatric patient there. i was also there when they shut kp down.
