Thanks for sharing this video Bob. After a very stressful start, we were able to enjoy a look round the city together. Sue and I were holding our breath watching you look for the stellplatz. Thank goodness you were able to turn back and retrace the route. It all worked out in the end 😃👍🏻🚐🚐 Trev

Eek that look like a restful drive! The castle on the hill looked amazing! I bet the stained glass windows of the church are beautiful.

Hi Bob and Jenny what a stressful journey for you all I agree Bob with what you say about driving on the right and Victoria did the same as Jenny looking out into traffic and being an extra pair of eyes which is probably more necessary with a motor home. We found most drivers to be pretty good and only had a couple of idiots I recall a similar experience with my sat nav in France and we drove every which way around Reims! Glad you all got sorted in the end and it looks a fabulous place to explore and enjoy together and looks like you all had a lovely time there it’s somewhere I would be interested in visiting myself Great video thanks for sharing your day all the best to you all daniel

Great video including warts and all. We have used CamperContact for several years all over Europe and always input the Lat, Long co-ordinates into our Garmin with no issues.

Wuerzburg is a uni city, and is situated on the river Main pronouned mine. It flows into the Rhine at Mainz.

Great video, really enjoyed. We had a similar experience with the sat nav in North Wales😂😂 The churches in Germany are well looked after, every member of the church has a monthly tax taken from their salary to maintain the church.

Your dilemma Bob is why I use Sygic truck as well as well as Garmin drive especially when abroad.

Recently did the Romantic Road and had many similar episodes with the nav .... including Wurzburg 🤣 .... and the in cab coversations were very similar but maybe a few more expletives 🤭🤐🤣

Van conversions make for a better experience when town driving. Ours came with a nice 10 inch screen with CarPlay and its own navigation app and at 6m no major issues driving around. No doubt you will have the chance to try Bailey’s new van conversion soon 👍

@@BobEarnshawMoHo We watched Peter Vaughn’s review of it the other day - not for us as I think the washroom door arrangement is totally unworkable but will be interested in your views. We’ve had an S&L which is much closer to a motorhome than a Campervan 👍

@@BobEarnshawMoHo Yes - would be an issue for my wife - it’s because of the moulding which runs along the side of the van - although we have a similar moulding but I guess the smaller converter can have the time to cut and fit. The 40 ltr waste tank is ridiculous and the drain taps are a joke. You should pop to see the S&L Apollo at the NEC (stand 11.156) - we have got tickets to go but have just had a rescue dog so plans have changed

I did laugh, sat nags can be so annoying , our Loire trip, to a certain campsite ,took us miles out of our way ,when I typed in a postcode ,not realising the code covered a huge area. ,enjoy

Yes postcodes can be huge areas especially rurally. What sat navs need to adopt is what3words.

I have the same Sat Nav, when I went to France it often told me to go left instead of right and vice versa, but the map looked OK, so started to follow the map visual directions instead, when I returned to UK all was OK.

You need to use a Tom Tom pro used by lorry drivers because you can put in your width length and height and weight

We use an Avtex Tourer Two for the same reason, dimensions and weight can be entered. In this case I think the information in camper connect was wrong. It also has a huge database of European Campsites, Asci, Camper connect, Caravan and Motorhome Club Sites, points of interest. I did a few videos on it if you're interested.

To avoid situations like that finding campsites in Europe, I find the entrance to the site on google maps, then go to street view to make sure you are in the right place and preferably zoom in so you can see the whites of the wardens eyes, then get the coordinates and put them into the sat nav, and you can't go wrong, I've found to my cost that using addresses in the sat nav in Europe is a recipe for disaster

Trust me. I became as stressed as you whilst watching the problematic drive. Did you have to cut out any bad language or arguments with Jenny ? !! That same situation would have left Sophie and I screaming at each other !!!!! Best Wishes, D+S xxx
