For anyone interested in trying this method of attaching a race bib to a pack, I realized after making this video that I can loop the shock cord over the cord locks to keep them on. This only works because I used a loop, rather than a single cord. Just food for thought!

Love your work. Take the protruding loops and fold them back over the cord locks. Slide the locks out to create tension. They won't come off. Good luck in the race!

Thanks! I actually pinned a comment about this right when I posted the video, didn't think of it until after filming, but that is exactly what I did, and they all stayed in place for the entire race. Thanks for sharing the great idea!

I have one I bought (I call it scooby's snack bag, because I don't like calling it fanny pack) it holds a flashlight, a pokey some extra poop bags, and snacks for when I walk my dog (Scooby-Doo) at night. I like yours. ❤

Wishing you and your road crew all the best on race day! And the days before and after…I appreciate you sharing what you made and your design decisions…even the ones you might wish you’d thought through more…makes me feel less alone in my …um..discoveries of my own on the fly things.

Best wishes for the race, hope it all goes well. Could you have used a loop of cord on one of the zip pulls so it was easier to distinguish from the other zip? Whilst I don't speak for all British people, I don't think we're offended by "fanny pack", it's just not a name we'd give it. US and UK English have diverged somewhat since you booted us out, I just do mild translation from; pants to trousers, zipper to zip, cookie to biscuit, vest to waistcoat etc. We're exposed to lots of US English media and mostly know what you mean.
