of course betting turnover is declining, i am restricted on almost every bookmaker account. The information the industry gives the punter is innacurate, limited and mostly of no use. I have given up to be honest, after 37 years betting on horses. Diluted big meetings, calendar awash with poor quality racing, too many meetings, the list goes on.....racing is in the coffin.
There's only a decline in betting turnover on racing because bookies won't take a bet from a winning punter and losing punters are mugs who will bet on anything.
Yep turnover down but bookies profits up. Easy to join the dots. Bookies have in effect used affordability checks to get rid of all the punters they don't want - something we have long suspected.
@@miller2624 A winning punter is someone who wins more than they lose, nobody always wins. Mug punters/ gambling addicts who bet on anything are who the bookies want.
@TrifficLad33 I know what a winning and losing punter is, but why would a bookies want a consistent winning punter ? And regarding losing/mug punters , that's 95% of all punters, including Me . Most who claim to be a winning punter , are just the same as the rest of us .
@@miller2624 Yeah same here mate that is exactly my point, so why do bookies constantly restrict accounts when they'd most likely still win long term. They are only after sure fire losers which i think is unfair. These adverts "when the funs stops stop" bullshit, it should be when you're having fun winning we put a stop to that.
Horse deaths is the big turn off for me. The best way ''besides that issue'', to make punter happy is to have all races with 10 or more horses is to give e/w on 4 place at all high street bookies.
Racecourses are expected to self-finance the marketing of Premier Racing is quite frankly ridiculous and astonishing as is the lack of a central marketing plan from the BHA and GBR. Time to merge BHA, RCA, ROA, NTF, TBA and HBLB into one body who is ultimately responsible and culipible if things go wrong.
Premier racing, the Racing League etc. All of these things are silly gimmicks that most people aren't interested in, thought up by some out-of-touch marketing people. If the powers-that-be want to know what the racegoer and punter want, go to them directly and stop faffing about wasting money on stuff that your average punter/racegoer doesn't give a toss about.
