My girlfriend and I just watched this video and we loved it! On December 15th of last year I asked my girlfriend to marry me on this very square, because one of our favorite films, "Phantom Thread", was filmed here. She said yes, and we were fortunate enough to even take a walk in the private garden, because we met some people who lived there. We would have loved to return to Fitzroy Square again this December, one year after the proposal, but because of Covid-19 that isn't possible. I was looking for some information about the square and found your very entertaining and educational video, which allowed us to revisit the square, be it online. My compliments! Kind regards, Vincent Schmitz, The Netherlands
Dear vincentdelft, Well, what a lovely story and I wish you congratulations over your subsequent proposal and many happy and healthy years ahead together. It is indeed a most fine square and I'm delighted that you can now enjoy it again, through me, remotely. All good wishes, Julian
Superb, fascinating, love the way you bring London to life. Cannot wait to stay with our friends in Greenwich again when lockdown is over just so I can visit some of your tours.
Visited for the first time in early 2021, to see the place where my favourite writer Virginia Woolf lived and upon arrival was surprised to learn that Ramsay Hall is directly across it, the place where Coldplay, my favourite band met! Its lead singer Chris Martin grew up near Cornwall where Virginia spent her childhood holidays, up to the death of her mother and which would inspire Virginia to write To The Lighthouse featuring the Ramsay family, based on her own
