Thank you for this one, I will probably never see it myself but it's special to me because of my late husband. He was a gifted artist, he also knew a lot about art and Van Gogh in particular. He had visited Arles many years ago, travelling on a night train, he'd asked the guard to wake him as they got near. On his death bed he recounted this memory, how he opened the blind and was faced with a Van Gogh painting in reality as the countryside was so like the artworks he knew and loved, one of the few times I saw him cry.
Hi Anne. A lovely story but I'm sorry to hear the circumstances. Very poignant. Arles has a lovely feel to it. I suspect that is partly due to the artists who live and visit there. I wish I could paint properly (I wish I could do a lot of things properly). Thanks for watching and sharing your story. All the best, Rob

Hey there! 🌟 Such a delightful stroll through Arles! Your narration gave me a cozy vibe, and I love how you shared the town's rich history. The mix of ancient ruins and Van Gogh's touch makes Arles a must-visit. Looking forward to the Pont du Gard adventure. Cheers! 👍

Hi Rob this cruise looked so good and that Roman theatre looked so atmospheric, would be great to go to a sumner festival there. Historic Arles does look so pretty 👍~ Anna
Tx Anna. Lots to see in Arles and a really nice feel to the place. The cruise seems a long time ago now (end October last year). Thanks for watching and best wishes, Rob
