Join us for lunch and a mooch round the shops in the quaint Shanklin Old Village, on the beautiful Isle of Wight. We take you round The Mews Shops which sell unique, Island made arts and crafts. You will be amazed by the plethora of quirky, independent shops in such a small area and the shop owners were so friendly and welcoming. The rain made it like a real English holiday and we tucked into a hot, freshly made doughnut to warm ourselves up in the blustery March weather. We also go south of the village to Big Mead which offers large open parkland, with a park for children and a lovely duck pond where we take in the wildlife. Finally, we take you to see St Blasius Old Parish Church which is medieval but was largely rebuilt in 1859.
