In this weeks Edinburgh vlog we simply take a walk down the royal mile in Edinbrugh, We start at Edinburgh Castle and head all the way down to Holyrood Palace. We point out some cool Edinburgh History points not to miss as well as seeing what's changed since the pandemic.

Thank you so much. Being an exile from Edinburgh for 50 years now, I still miss this proud and beautiful City of Edinburgh. As a child, I lived in the Grassmarket with my granny who like yourself was highly knowledgeable about the City. She furnished me with a notebook and pencil and told me to go forth and explore. I love Edinburgh with all my heart...

That was a great wee walk and talk...yup if you don't look up you'll miss half of what there is to see...that quotation that you didn't understand is from Psalm 133:1 Look! How good and pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity! ...the way the world is right now...we could do with a bit of unity...💕🌷🖖

“It’s a part hotel and a part not” sooo funny 😆 My son & I stayed in the Canongate on a recent visit the latter half of April. Yes, we enjoyed the quiet of this area after a day of walking about. My great grandmother was born where the veterans lawn bowling is. It used to be Duncan’s Close. First time i visited from Canada and found it I was so thrilled

The 1677 lintel carving at 23:12 is a common Bible verse used for Freemasons! Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity. Very close to the oldest continually used lodge room in the world! Rabbie Burns was a member there and I'm getting a tour of it this August! Cannot. Wait!

Do love the royal Mile. Was recently in Edinburgh to visit my son. On the Friday we went to see him play at Banshees in his Band. It was brilliant. Im Scottish, stay in Ireland but love Edinburgh .

I did manage to impress everyone with my knowledge on Edinburgh recently after some of your fab facts. 👍 Please could you visit some of the colourful giraffes around town. We would love to see them. And whilst we were there in May we visited Musselburgh but didn't get chance to visit all the arrows on the Musselburgh Arrow Trail so it would be great if you could show us more of the trail. What a wonderful place!!! The buildings are just priceless!!! Tis a shame one can't be transported back in time when they touch one of those gorgeous doors/gates. So much history! Hi Tony I just love your videos of Edinburgh they are so great and Helpful with a lott of history funny enough I walked the same route on Thursday 07/July and enjoyed it so much I will show my family next time , I went into a lott of the closes on the mall and enjoy sitting in Dunbar close garden from one of your previous videos but thank you keep the history of the city to come.

While you were walking down the Canongate, you stopped at Reids Court and wondered aloud, who lives there? Well, we had the privilege a few years ago of staying at the townhouse on the right just behind the gate. The white building with the red door was the house for the Minister of the Canongate Kirk (it still may be!) The tree in the courtyard has a plaque that was dedicated by Her Majesty. We loved the area, so quiet.

Loving your videos. Becoming even more "geeky" about revisiting the Royal Mile. Recently found out we're staying in a flat right above Sugarhouse Close with a view of the Tolbooth Tavern. I still can't believe it. And, I didn't look up until you did in this video. Now I'm wondering about that star. All the best to you and your family. Hope you are all, "happy, healthy and well".
