Just spent three days in Shrewsbury,I really like it... Very clean, lots of shops, pubs, places to eat, theatre, museum gallery.... people pleasant enough... my partner said not overly friendly but I don't mind that I prefer that to over familiarity.Beautiful river severn and countryside too.I would consider moving here if property wasn't so expensive.Saw a couple of street drinkers and homeless but everywhere has that, and they were no bother.i felt extremely safe even when walking late at night.
Great video thanks,at 13.21 on right is church I went with boys brigade,on left my old school, the wakeman as it was, haven't been back since 1978,most places still look the same even now
The only place "Haunted" is the Prince Rupert. Two deaths happened there: Lizzie the jilted bride and a Soldier from the first world war. They both hung themselves, there might have been more but those are the two most talked about. Oh and the Castle which is a War/Regimental museum now. It's dated back to 1067. But then again I'm sceptical because I have to be shown hard solid proof of things.
this town is an example to other English towns. a town that retained much of its character. sadly many other English towns have lost much of their character through plain building and wide and straight streets right through their centers.
this is one of the worst towns in the UK as it is now. you obviously have not traveled around the country. the only reason why it doesnt develop further is because there is no one interested to come here or invest money here.
