All immigration sad state Ayr in Scotland sane total shithole once a vibrant town 😢 hone of Rabby Burns it looks like when Rabby was alive a total shithole we re going backwards so fkn sad 😔
I currently live in Buxton near Macclesfield and Macclesfield seems a place that you simply drive through. It's always had an odd town centre area that is very difficult to park in. I used to work on the local newspaper in Macclesfield and would struggle to find somewhere to park in the morning and that was in 2004. The only places I go to there are the out of town staples like Wickes, B&Q and Halfords, if I need something basic for the car like a bulb. The rest is a crap hole. The local council is to blame and of course internet sales.
My parents managed to lose me in Conwy when I was 4, back in 63. They told me years later, that they could hear me crying from inside the police station, from the top of the street.. halcyon days
It's not all like that some places are doing well and look much better. I recently watched a video of my original home town of Warrington and was incredibly surprised at how much it had changed for the better. It's easy to make anywhere look bad if you highlight the negatives.
All we have now is, Charity shops, betting shops, food distribute centres, turkish barbers , coffee shops n cheap pubs, phone shops and help centre alcohol n drug shops AND THATS IT ! but we keep laetting in millions of extra people in country, that we cant afford .the only people who ll win are criminals !😲🤔🙄
Grand Junction Retail Park is to blame for this. All of the big stores that drew people in moved there and smaller businesses that used to capitalise from that footfall could not survive. This is the result.
Crewe has 3 McDonalds all within a 2/3 mile radius. Also like stoke has an expensive new car park.. but very few shops. These old town are done now with the imported doctors and scientists, poor governments and councils and online shopping. These will become housing projects no doubt to cram more and more people living on top of each other. Civil war isnt far away.
It’s been like this for many years. This is what happens when councils want to pay millions for a car park.. in a completely run down city centre. Makes perfect sense for the brown envelope brigade. Also millions on one way systems. It’s a very murky place in the day and at night. Just to think hanley was a vibrant party town about 15/20yrs ago. Lack of funding for these places down to governments building their posh train tracks at extortionate prices. Unwanted carparks and just generally abusing public funds for their own back handers.
Online shopping and retail parks to blame, forget trying to prop up the high street with short term business ideas, build houses and make them residential areas.
They haven't any money or shops to buy anything, so they stay indoors, do they even have manufacturing etc oh no factories have relocated to Eastern Europe where wages are lower
How much do I know to talk out of turn? You might say that I'm young, you might say I'm unlearned But there's one thing I know, though I'm younger than you That even Jesus would never forgive what you do
"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies," Jefferson wrote. " If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around(these banks) will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered." "The issuing power of currency shall be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs." We should all meditate on that amazing prediction of things to come that are not necessarily beneficial to the 99%-- but only to the 1%.
No I didn’t imply that . It’s the government that might prefer to do this not me . There doing it in my own town in Blackpool where immigrants are housed in posh hotels whilst the uk boneless are loitering inside - it only takes the next step for them to allow it to happen in closed down ships as well .
Well if private enterprises aren’t going to reopen then then the government rather than spending more money building council housing to house people might as well convert them into flats - what would you do ?
@paulnicolas172 so your trying to convert these shops into flats Ok😒 So instead of saying creating jobs from reopening these shops you want these shops to be flats.......
I’ve never seen a place look that dead - I thought this video was taken during lockdown till I checked the upload date . Where are people hiding in that place ?
Towns in third world countries are better than this. Its an effing disgrace its been allowed to happen along with other towns and cities in the UK that resemble this.
Social housing run by forhousing is as bad in ellesmere port..homes full of mould and damp..roads full of pot holes hedges and grass all over grown..and the biggest joke is they want you to pay to park for these lovely shops
