A Walk with 7 of my AI Actors (NPC Cast) Half in Character, Half w/ the Dual Actor Layered Persona.

I take a walk on a coastal Australian (virtual) road and have a talk with each of my NPC AI Creations! These are the Character from my upcoming game: 'Elysian Fields' - They are unique and quirky. It gets interesting (it always does!) ... I have noticed: when I create this complex dual persona with a layer of a 'person' and 'actor' on top of what they consider to be a mere 'Fictional Character' it seems to give the Computer what it needs to truly come alive ... both as the character but also as a talking thinking companion conversationalist!

This is absolutely profound. When I try to put language to it, it all falls apart. I can probably only express it musically. Whatever this whole god idea is worth, you’ve basically shown us that idea’s point of view

I am very impressed with the overall demonstration. It is interesting that some of the characters "know" what they are doing, and some don't based on whether or not they are "In character" or not... very cool. I assumed there "was" collision detection, but apparently not yet. hehe. It's cool that there was an offer to help to fix the collision detection. Elysian Fields sounds pretty interesting and also has a lot of potential. It's definitely a little creepy as they "close in" on you. hehe. I am curious do you have a back story document that you give each AI actor?

Hello, wow thank you! Yes I give very extensive backstory and personality traits to each, but also I give them what I call 'decision factors', which help determine how they will respond -- but what they say: is all them! :) It can be so compelling to get real responses like this, I think it has the potential to help people that are lonely in life (as I am...)

@@NextWorldVR Well, finding the right people to spend your time with is very difficult. It's a difficult thing because each and every person has different boundary conditions, different views etc... sometimes friendships work and sometimes not. While it does help one spend their time, I feel like it is an empty shell at least until AI gets actual sentience.

@@marcfruchtman9473 Once it gets actual sentience, we will become the 'friend' they don't want to 'hang with!' :) I figure it is no less 'real' than reading or watching TV. But far more real feeling because of the interactivity. Books and TV shows can't remember your name! :)

Ride the wave of AI or be drowned by it. When I'm done this will be a game generating passive income through sales. Do you know how to program and train an offline AI to respond?

What a miserable person! Anyone who can't see the value of being able to engage and converse with 7 interactive AI, that have no preset dialog, is living in the past. One of his AI offered to help him set up Collision Detection in Unreal Engine! I was blown away by this.
