Try not to obsess and constantly compare with other denominations, what’s the point? Just focus on your life

Christ washes us. Our Church is important, but let’s not forget who sits on the throne and who cleanses us of our sins. I know you probably didn’t mean it that way, but sometimes I see people putting Christ in the back seat to the Church.

@@LOUISE__97 Your comment is welcome. I chose to write orthodox faith because some religions believe in a fanciful Christ, distort scripture to justify atrocities. But you are right, as Paul says "if Christ is not resurrected, our faith is in vain".

Don't lose hope. God is with you. We all have problems when we want to walk with God. Even I have a problem in my family because of this topic and I hope to get over it in the near future. It's hard but it will be fine.

I'm Russian but thanks to a recommendation of a dear friend of mine I also was influenced by Rene Genon when I was coming to faith. I really wish that Christ be with you on this path. But please take from my heart to yours: if you still rely on reasoning in your search of God, please, be patient. You will see more of how sweet orthodoxy is, of how sweet Christ is, when you repent, when you pray daily, when you read the lives of the saints and books of holy fathers. Believe me, it's nothing like Rene Genon. Actually, it's nothing like this world. It is bigger, brighter, it gives hope like nothing else. I have a friend who makes the same drive every weekend. Do it if you can drive, it'll be worth it.

Go brother, even if it is once a month. I have to drive almost 1.5 hours as well, even so I try to be there every week.
