I think why the glitch works is because you have all the effects being given to your character all at the same time, so when you change character in the middle of it giving you the Super effect, it confuses the game into thinking you've gone Super with whoever you were before turning into someone else, meaning it tries to display the previous character's Super palette from the current character's Super palette, which ends up being either in a non-existent part of the palette or in a very specific colour
I remember doing something like this with Tails years ago and got him to turn pink somehow heh. I don't remember the process, but it was something weird like this
I used to experiment with this glitch all the time. My results include the following. Dark super form: Ray, Mighty, Tails Pink super form: Tails Regular color palette but in super form: Mighty, Knuckles And the only one that ever happened with sonic. Yellow sonic: Sonic Extra note: in dark and pink super forms once I ran out of rings they stayed the same
One time I was messing around in debug mode and this happened to me with tails but I didn't put every moniter type in a row to do it it happened randomly.
I've actually gotten this to work for a dark super tails, I also got a yellow sonic before, all you need is the super monitor and change character monitor for the glitch
i see you have modded your save file, i know this because i have the exact same sonic + tails slot as you, so im not sure why you dont just get a mod that makes the characters dark.
It's for the people who can't have mods ( ´・・)ノ(._.`) or who are on x box, it's hard to access mods so that's why I made video. So if they know how to use debug on x- box this can be really useful for them. But I understand why u ask.
All but sonic actually. I would experiment with this for hours but I never got anything for sonic other than him turning yellow but not being in his super sprite
