Much respect to this guy. A real hustler. I’ve started in Ohio and I like that about people from Ohio. They are not scared of getting their hands in the mud to make things happen for their families!
Ohioans are known for their grit and determination. It’s great to see that spirit in action-getting hands dirty and making things happen for their families. 💪
I've been learning about how the Mormon community impacts the culture of Ohio and this observation seems to be inline with what I've learned. I find cultures that work together very interesting. Cheers.
Brandon is a cool dude. I’ve been enjoying his content for years and he works IN his businesses in a way that a lot of people can relate to. Not everyone can be or wants to be a purely passive business owner.
Thank you, Brandon, for sharing your story. I have been a contractor for the gov for the past 15 years and but now I want to get something done for myself. I will be watching your videos on your channel and any further information from UpFlip also.
Thank you for the kind words! Excited to see where your new journey takes you. Keep an eye on our videos for tips and inspiration to help you get started!
I really enjoy the content you produce on various business models and established ventures. I’d love to see a video on the business model of assisted living communities/nursing homes. Given the importance of this topic and the global aging trend, it would be incredibly insightful to explore how these businesses operate and succeed. Thanks for considering this suggestion!
Great interview with Brandon!! Two videos in a row from operators in Ohio. You have the opportunity to see a great OPL operation in Columbus!! Columbus Express Laundry.
Sell the unit and write up a contract that you could own the one unit for your business maybe! Thank you so much for great content and awesome, hard-working folks!
Owner financing worked for us. The first investor didn't work out...thankfully it was just $2,500 lost. The 2nd and 3rd investors provided us with a great experience to own single family homes as well as multi units.
We've talked about that, the kind of downside is I've got a seller financed note on the storage facility at 3% fixed interest for 20 years and I really really don't want to give that up in order to sell it
You really gotta stop the click bait intros. We see how long the video is lol we're already staying. Squeezing 2 extra minutes of cringe out of us is entirely unnecessary
I think the ultimate goal is for this content to be purchased by a network and aired on Television. So the format you clearly don’t like would technically be a requirement…
I explained it pretty well in the video (I thought) - I realized I didn't have to have all the money and proceeded to just email/contact people that I estimated had large sums of $$$. Worked like a charm.
I have to say after watching the laundry mat ones, I no longer would want to run a laundry mat lol . Too much up front money like buying all the appliances and then roughing in all the plumbing it’s a nightmare cost unless you buy one that’s failing and revive it that’s a play for sure but finding that deal is slim and thin. I’ve heard laundry mat business is one of the most successful ones so I’m sure you can be a moron and make it work but has to be good location and in my opinion from what I’ve learned it has to be one that’s failing and you buy it out. The one guy said 250k - 400k just to convert a building for laundry . And when I saw the service room it made me puke. I think the best one is storage lockers that are self serve so you need minimal to no staff, and have it where it runs on solar panels . And only allow people in and out during day light hours . I think that’s the best business model but even then you have to buy or lease the land and should be decent location very close to a town or city , and then you’re building the units but at least you don’t need any services like electrical or plumbing or gas . Just solar panels and a box . I’ll get there that’s my dream
I don't care where the laundromat is it will be successful if I own it. I don't buy laundromats, as I find that opportunity and take it. You have to know how to go about it. I own 10 laundromats and only built 2 from scratch. It's creativity in knowing how to work the system and you won't need much upfront cost.
Laundromats are super handy for washing larger items like comforters, or when your machine at home just can't handle a huge load. Plus, it's a time-saver if you want to do all your laundry at once! 👕
Rental is going to increase , especially the economic forecast isn’t good . I have two very small laundromat, talking total area of 700 sq feet turn over $235,000 a year at 55% . Both of them I picked up free . People ran them down , happy to offer load them . They even gave me vendor finance and rent free for 3 months . You need to really drive around do your research.
@JacobsNews They bought my brother and I Brass Eagle Talons in '98 when they first got exposed to the market - $30ish if memory serves me right. After that point it was all Ben & Me. When I say reselling equipment - We started off taking consignment off friends and selling it on ebay for them since no one knew how to do that at the time. After a while we figured out how to buy wholesale equipment from NPS from the money we had made off the consignment equipment. As I said in the video, our parents didn't have any money to sponsor us playing paintball, so we had to figure out how to do it ourselves. I could break it down in even more detail, but what's the point? You already discounted my story.
Artwork: Don't put the original up to cover the whole wall... put a mural-copy... with a little extra pay to the artist if required (I don't know the copywrite laws... if you own the rights when you buy the original painting).
Great tip! Using a mural-copy of the original artwork for large wall coverage is a smart way to preserve the original while still making a bold visual statement.
@@InvestmentJoy hats off to you!! I found your story very inspiring. I have an ADD personality. I like all different types of business. I go after them, but people always tell me that I can’t, that I have to stick with just one. So, I really appreciated listening to you! Thank you so much for sharing 😃
@@daniellesmith00 I pull experience from all the different ventures when I do something new, the problem with ADHD is its easy to get bored quickly and switch to something else, even while that same project could just need a little work to be successful.
He didn’t say a damn way that he got his business that was unconventional or without large sums of money he’s a damn real estate agent that’s it, he did a crap load of talking without saying anything I’ve seen these scam artists a million times
What was a scam? It sounded like he hustled, got others to buy in to what he was doing, and to trust him with their hard earned money. Con men do that but then run off with the money. Sounds to me like he made his investors money. It's almost always the unconventional stuff that's a scam.
