I'm a delivery driver too and I used to love seeing the doggos until I got bitten by one pretty bad and now whenever there is even a fence it gives me anxiety, let alone a dog... :( I still love the handful of doggos I know are friendly though!
@Sharrowkynwrx I'm in Australia and the one I got bitten by was an attended delivery (we have to knock and make contact with customer) and the massive dog ran out as soon as the owner opened the door, there was no indication there was a dog on the property - was entirely irresponsible of the owner 😭 Glad your company has a hard stance on it! They're our biggest hazard (other than driving). I love doggos, just wish people were responsible 🥺
Me too, I've been with amazon for over a year and tomorrow is my last day due to me moving. I kind of want to find a job like this just for the puppers tho ngl
@@adam5160one of the most common injuries are dog bites. We come across lots of dogs and majority are friendly but eventually you will come across a mean one
So i just spend over an hour watching walter deliver amazon packages and cuddling animals and for some crazy reason this is the most chill thing i have done in a while. Super soothing. Loved every minute of it.😅
When I was a child , I used to get really excited to see/hear the Ice Cream Man driving through the neighborhood . That excitement has been replaced with seeing the Amazon van back into my driveway .
As a FedEx Ground truck loader, I'm surprised by the lack of mattresses, snow blowers, bedframes, wood floor panels, 150lb generators, tires, and the obligatory 15, 40lb chewie boxes for a single house. Keep on truckin Walter, we be out here getting people their items🙏
The worst thing is I've ordered delivery for some mattresses before that were supposed to be delivered by the local business who then had fed ex deliver it instead when they were supposed to...
They have a subcontractor branch, called Amazon XL... 2 man teams in bigger straight trucks to deliver iCs Haven't seen them around lately so they maybe handing them out to FedEx Ground and UPS if they're 3rd party sellers
You probably won't see this but I work as a amazon driver in the UK and I am also using a rental for the Xmas period. I totally recommend flattening your parcel bags and placing them on the full parcel bags to use as a shelf, been watching you for years and loved it when I saw you do what I do lol
Absolutely devastating you got fired for this but loved seeing you come into my shop and interact with our three dogs like that! Poey, Taco and Opal loved it as well I can assure you of that ❤️
With the well behaved dogs, it would be funny to have them sit next to the package when you take the picture. As a pet owner I would find it hilarious to open my package delivery notification and see my dog in the picture.
As a European it’s so weird seeing packages being left by the front door. Here you got to knock on the door and hand the package over. If nobody’s home you either deliver to the neighbors or keep it for the next day. Almost 0 theft risk!
The odd part is that it is strictly Amazon that will leave it at your door, Fedex and UPS both will put smaller packages in your mailbox at least in my experience
I work as an Amazon delivery driver currently and it amazes me how light your route was. I get an average of 19 to 21 totes and 30+ overflow packages. I'm glad you don't have to deal with the craziness that comes with that
I've been following you for years. This was the most chill, enjoyable and cutest video. I'd love to see these winter work videos as much as possible. Keep up the awesome videos!!
thanks for the vid! due to my disabilities i can no longer ride or work so to keep my sanity i watch others do the activities i used to love doing from a pov perspective... getting to watch you ride and work is a huge bonus. thank you for keeping me alive and please dont stop doing what you do... also where i live i could never leave my door open like that people would be stealing stuff before i could even stop moveing... my locked work van got broke into while i was out of town one time... they even stole my crusty 5 year old workboots that i kept in the van as backup
You know.... This video is great from someone like me. I get so flustered talking to people etc. This video shows simple everyday interactions and I was just thinking to my self wow it's that simple. It also made me realize how very awkward I am in person
Something about this video is very aesthetically pleasing. Maybe it’s because I spent a whole day playing a very chill game where you literally deliver packages. Also that stabilization makes it look like you’re just gliding from point to point. Definitely adds to the game feel. And a lot of the background sounds feel like they were put in in post.
I've been driving for amazon for about a year, it matters what dispatching company hires you. Mine personally is really nice and chill and everyone there is around my age so theres not much confusion with certain things. I personally love it so much every day, the hours are hit or miss most times but overall i have a ton of fun.
worked for them for a single shift. It was awful....had no time to get food, no time to poop, dogs nearly biting me, worked in the ghetto and felt like i was gonna get robbed bc people looking in my van when i was parked, the phone they provided for the scanning didnt work half the time, addresses were very difficult to deliver to, felt sick after the shift and my feet felt bruised, not to mention theres cameras in the van that watches you the whole time so dont pick your nose haha. no wonder they have advertisements for the job on every platform.
as someone who works at the same station as walt its not that bad you get two paid 15 min breaks and a unpaid 30 min lunch you have plenty of time tot do ur business its really not bad@@SgtPickledic
This is genuinely cathartic to watch always wanted to be a truck driver / heavy equipment operator but developed a degenerative eye disease in my late teens that has left me visually impaired in my early twenties its cool to see how life could've been different.
I enjoy videos like this. Not only for the pups, but just seeing what you're getting up to. I watch a couple other channels like Laos House and MiKe Kh, and they both do Amazon deliveries as well. I look forward to more of these! Love the long video format.
I actually really enjoyed this video Walt. Super chill and fun to ride with you. Being from New England it’s cool to see the different landscapes and vast country. Have a good one 👍
No way!! I’ve been watching Amazon delivery vlogs / videos for years now and I’ve been watching you for years now too! Never knew they would both mash up into one!!! Love it please do more of these!!!!
I freaking love these videos Walter. Please keep them up. If I didn’t already have an awesome career part of me would love to just drive around dropping off packages and petting furry animals.
I work with DHL and was amazed that I was dropping a package off at Hacksmith Industries Wearhouse but this is basically what I do on a daily basis but I drive the heavy shipment truck and drop off at warehouses and sometimes homes
man, i dont know about yall but i freaking love walt, this guy always knows how to put a smile on my face. your videos are always a highlight of my day
I thoroughly enjoyed this entire thing. I wasn't sure if I would but it's strangely therapeutic to see the everyday things. I can imagine a lot of people using videos like this to fall asleep to. It's comforting.
Wild seeing how different Amazon is compared to UPS delivery driver processes. I have been with UPS for like 2 and a half years and drove for peak last year and will be doing it again this year, and we are told to be as fast as possible and quick as possible with walking back and fourth to house and truck. Rental trucks are so horrible delivering out of, they are the uhaul and penske trucks and whatnot.
I really enjoyed this. It really helped me get out of a really bad depression swing this morning at work. I hope everything's going well in your life. I feel like I've heard nothing but bad things about driving for Amazon, so its neat to see what its like. Tbh some days I feel like it would be nice to drive around for a job. ❤
I work as a Warehouse Associate and have also worked as a Driver. The worst part of delivering is the apartments with no elevators or lockers. Especially when someone orders 6 cases of water on the third floor. I started in the Warehouse, became a driver and went back to the warehouse since pay was the same. The extended long nights were killing me.
as a former amazon delivery driver i prefered the rentals especially down in florida and i cant tell how many stops into your route you are but it looks like an easy day i used to do 190+ stops on my routes
I love your attitude and respect in this video. Really shows how great of a person you are. I hope to get a dual sport motorcycle and watching your videos really show how I want to be as a rider. Keep up the great work bro!!
Pro tip. Even though they didn’t allow packages in the front seat. I’d get to my first stop at do it there. Made grabbing those small boxes/envelopes real easy.
this is crazy, i’m working two jobs right now. one full time 4 days a week. and 2 days a week as an amazon driver. i just finished my amazon shift. came home and watched this. i like delivering i didn’t think i liked it this much 😂
It's so much better working in the small towns and communities. I've watched a few other Amazon drivers do video's and it's pure hectic and way to much stress in the bigger cities and suburbs. You make the job look fun, a pleasant surprise.
