A Week in Charleston with Sea Kayak Carolina - Day 6: Surf Class with Dale Williams 

Day 6 of my week down in Charleston with Sea Kayak Carolina. I was delighted to be a part of Dale William's surf class on my last day on the water. First, Dale took us to some nice swells that were not really breaking yet, allowing us to play without too much fear of getting tossed around. Later, we opted for playing in some smaller crashing waves closer to shore. It was a great spectrum of settings, and as the class progressed, I felt more and more comfortable using my edging and chines to remain in control - regardless of the size of the wave. Obviously, these were on the small side, but trust me when I say that they felt a lot bigger while sitting there.
