The tragic genocide across the river towards the sea had not noticeably affected Jordan, except for deterring tourists during peak season, and occasionally the GPS saying we were in Cairo. Kamila did some magic with logistics only a week or so in advance and found us great flights and made an action packed itinerary. I wanted us to hire a car and Kamila hadn’t driven in years but she drove her Dad’s car days before departure and enjoyed it so it was on! I also had a chance to try my hand drive kit for a few days in the middle of the trip which was great. The pace of the trip and variety we explored was just right.
