Sausage gravy:
1 lb. sausage gravy
1 package country gravy mix
4 cups milk
Brown sausage in a frying pan. When meat is no longer pink and just a bit brown sprinkle gravy packet over the top. Toss and continue to fry meat for a minute or two or medium hi heat. Then add milk. Scrape up stuck bits on the bottom of the pan and continue to cook on a low simmer. Cook until gravy has thickened, about 20 minutes. Serve along side biscuits or toast. Delish!

I’d be interested in learning about male modest clothing rules/guidelines in the Mennonite community. I’ve heard and seen so much about woman but never about men . Do they have rules about wearing undershirts, how long their shorts are, what sort of shirts they can wear? Are they allowed to wear sleeveless shirts or go without a shirt at a beach ? Also what are the rules for swimming for both men and woman ? Does it change if your at home at your own private pool vs being in front of others ?

There are not specific rules but some churches do think a certain level of modesty is "right" but there are different forms of mennonite

Not a mom but have that issue after becoming disabled and not able to workout like before to keep the weight off. I loved these outfits with all the smocking detail to cinch things in and yet hide things you want hidden.

I have started wearing high waisted yoga shorts under my dresses to help hide the belly. They make a difference and so much more comfortable than any shape wear I have tried.

Sarah.....AKA Mommy shared a birth story recently about being unable to take her baby home from the hospital right away because she tested positive for drugs. Turned out to be the poppy seeds from the bagel seasoning she had used throughout her pregnancy. Just wanted you to be aware. I would hate for you to go through that.

What I did was do a star chart. Everytime he goes he gets to put a star on his chart and at the end of the week reward him with something. This works great. I did this with all my kids and all the kids I babysat over the years. They all loved it. Both boys and girls. ( 9 kids) that I potty trained.

I just started following your channel. My husband and I raised 2 children who are now adults and we have one grandson. We are newly retired and have moved closer to our daughter and son-in-law to help with our grandson. I love your cooking videos and have found some things that my family will love. I want to thank you for showing modest choices for clothing. We always taught our children to dress modestly, but it wasn't always easy. If my daughter could have watched your videos on modest choices, it would have been so helpful. This is so needed in our culture starting at a very young age. You are such a thoughtful and intentional mother and wife and it's fun to watch because a lot of times we think of mom's as our own mom's age or grandma's who of course are professional at homemaking etc., but we are watching you become your children's memories of their amazing mother. A trick I heard about potty training, is to put the cotton underwear on first and then a pullup/diaper on TOP of the underwear. Then if they have an accident, it feels wet and nasty for the kid, but you haven't got an awful mess to deal with when you're out and about!

You’re right about the cotton. Back in the day when I potty trained my kids...and later, when I helped potty train my two grandsons, cotton underwear was the trick! In the 70s and 80s we could get cotton training underwear. The crotch had several layers of very soft cotton knit so thick it absorbed like a sponge! .(They could be made at home if they aren’t in stores now...or buy cotton underwear and sew in some extra layers of cotton fabric). My two were trained in the summer...so much easier just to put the underwear on them as they played inside the fenced backyard. (My daughter was a breeze to train...most girls are)! When cotton gets wet next to one’s skin, we all know it is uncomfortable. With those disposable pull-ups, they might as well be in diapers! I checked my grandsons wearing pull-ups and I COULD NOT tell if they were wet to save my life! So COTTON to the training rescue!

So first off- I LOVE the polka dotted skirt you showed towards the end of the video 💕🙌🏼 and second- I’m SO glad when you refer to camping you guys are actually camping. Like good ole cabin/tent and not “glamping” with an RV that’s surrounded by other RV’s 😒 makes absolutely no sense to me

I honestly make all my jams with half the sugar. And a lot of deserts that way too. I get so sick from how sweet a lot of people make their sweets, and I find that they taste just as good with half the sugar :-)

I've raised 5 sons and believe me, you can do you, but Fletcher WILL do Fletcher. People tell you to wait until they're ready to save you some (lots of) frustration. I tried my first son at 14 months because he was talking and was so smart. Well, he was way over 2 yrs old till we conquered that thing. My second son was 16 months younger and I decided I wasn't even going to begin trying until he was 2. He couldn't talk till he was about 3 but at 22 months he would come tell me in his own way, with motions, that he needed to use the bathroom. Go figure! Every child is different and every child teaches mom. 😅

Megan, when I potty trained my two boys, we also had them go bare from waist down for about a week when we were home. We made sure we’d be home most of the week so we could do that. It worked so well! Then we went right to underwear. I totally understand wanting to potty train before the new baby comes. God bless you!
