I love these vlogs so freaking much. Also, my husband is almost 40 and LOVES Lego. I bought it for him once as a gift and he was immediately obsessed, he also listens to audiobooks while building. It's an expensive hobby for the intricate ones but they are so cool. Not a nerdy thing, imo.

I feel like planning / organization / to-do lists are so personal for what works best for people. I’m not very good at rigid routines because the idea of repeating something the exact same endlessly is boring to me. So sometimes my plans / to-dos are in my notes app, sometimes Notion, sometimes on paper. It’s whatever feels right on the day. If Word works then it works ✨

You powered through that lego build! Also you reshuffling the living room has made me crave a new bookshelf so I can do a little bookshelf reorganisation. I am hoping to read legends and lattes next week and maybe then I'll move straight on to bookshops and bonedust if it's good. But it's good to know the prequel is even better.

I've never been a Lego girlie but this looked so much fun 🥺🥺🥺🥺 I love the idea of ordering food, listening to an audiobook while the hands are busy. When you said it's 3 am tho 😂😂 I was shocked. I’ve wanted the Rivendell lego set ever since it was announced and this has made me desperate to get to it! Love all of the details in it and I feel like you did such a good job in a good amount of time🤩 You could always do public reading sprints on the day that you miss an upload? No pressure or anything, just a thought in case you need something!

I went down the LEGO rabbit hole toward the end of last year after not really playing with LEGO sets since I was a kid and it is so good for my mental health. More than anything it keeps me away from doomscrolling on my phone. It’s wonderful!

Enjoyed hanging out with you while you did lego and i finished my first paint by numbers (it took me a few hours a day for 6 days!). For the valentine's video instead of taking off an item of clothing you put on an item of clothing. Think Joey when he wears ALL of Chandler's clothes in Friends. Also loved the LOTR video. I now want to binge read and binge watch the series ❤

This was a great vlog, no need to apologize! As atmospheric as the LOTR vlog was, this was a complete tonal shift and it felt just as fun but completely different! Building lego always looks like so much fun to me but I just don't know what I would do with it after it was built. Kudos to you for finding a good place for it!

I LOVED your LOTR's vlog, soooooooo much!!! I was so excited for you and I was also completely envious and would love to have that experience one day. I am currently making my way through LOTR as a read along with Andy Serkis, I started it in December, it has been years and years since I first read them. I splurged and bought some fancy copies of the books but then I was worried about ruining them so I put them away on the bookshelf and went and bought less fancy versions 😁 Another of my fav Tolkien books is Roverandon, it was a story he wrote when his son Michael lost his toy dog at the beach, the dog had a delightful adventure!

I was watching the video and tge part where you were sitting on the couch with the kitties. I started hearing a person's voice. I owe you, Gavin. I had read The Lord of the Rings at the age of 14 but the books were sitting on my shelf ever since (45 long years). No idea what made me pick up The Fellowship of the Ring last week but I couldn’t be happier right now. While getting more obsessed with the story by the hour I was looking for reading vlogs on youtube. Your vlog popped up on my timeline and I got sucked in. It was magical following you along while I was reading it as well. I’m still not done though and will watch your vlog once again for sure. I love these videos, I had it playing on TV while doing some annotating for study. ❤ Rivendell turned out beautiful!! As for the Tolkien books, I HIGHLY recommend you read them!! You should definitely read The Children of Hurin next, it's one of Tolkien's darker tragic stories and wonderfully read by Christopher Lee in audiobook form!

I am obsessed with the Lego set!! What a fun cozy time reading and putting it together. I must say you are dedicated. I have a miniature bookstore half done from Christmas and it is still a mess in the corner of my room. You are inspiring me to pick it up again.
