Karin Bohn is the founder and creative director behind the award-winning Vancouver-based design firm, House of Bohn ( www.houseofbohn.com ). Karin established the interior design firm over 10 years ago, and since has made her mark on the West-Coast Canadian design scene in many industries including high-end residential, multi-family, restaurants and retail. Loved the threaded message of constantly being creatively turned on as a Designer, so many people don't realise how draining it can be! Thanks for the reminder that it's essential to switch off and that it's okay to not be creatively turned on all the time

I would like to say THANK YOU, Karin! I'm 22 and currently live in Toronto where I work full-time as a manager at a luxury hotel which puts my leadership skills to the test daily, and I love it, but ultimately know this isn't the end goal. Finding a career path has been challenging where all my values align: my passion for creativity, my craving for working with people and making them smile a little extra with the work I would be doing, and inevitably a career that would bring me joy! To live in Vancouver has been a dream of mine for a few years now, and now, amidst all the chaos this world is going through, I feel as if I found my calling that would allow me to be there. I cannot wait to get started and maybe one day I will be lucky enough to work on your team or potentially collaborate on a project. Karin, I just binge-watched all episodes of Restaurants on the Edge and can I just say - it was AMAZING. And I loved how they were like mini travelogues. I learned so much about other countries and how people live. You should be so proud. You were BORN to be in front of the camera. I cried every episode, you were changing people’s lives! And may I be honest - it was obvious (and many reviews I’ve read agree) that you are the star of that show. And the heart. You shouldered the most work and the payoff on the show hinges on your before and after reveal. And you knocked every single one of those out of the park. I can’t wait for Season 2!

OMG Karin Bohn is so inspiring I love Karin’s interior design style, her hustle/hard work entrepreneurial mindset, and her fashion style! Karin and giovanna battaglia are two of my favorite fashion icons! That being said I’m obsessed with her deep blue metallic looking oil slick pleated skirt! Please tell me where it’s from! I think that seeing "a week in the life" of you is way cool. As long as we are seeing you and your channel I can wait a week. I love your channel thank you! I want to do everything that you are doing and even though I am not working in a design business now I am working towards being a designer and going back to school again. I am on a move constantly as well. Working on drawing drafting skills in the meantime. Balance is so important I didn't have that in my early years. I worked and pushed my body beyond my limits. And it hurt when I broke down not once but 6 times!!! I had to go through therapy for years to say no and to learn how to set boundaries for myself. Now I am back and have that healthy balance and I feel like a kid again. So your right to have your priorities.

I am in love with your channel. I only recently found it and I must say its been really inspiring to watch you live out your dream. I'm a 24 year old black girl in South Africa who recently graduated from my honors in interior design. Being a designer in my country and of my color can sometimes be daunting. Society tends to be accustomed to applauding the more traditional career choices. Watching you in your day to day gives me such hope that its possible for me to live my dreams too. I have learned that its possible to thrive as a creative , I've learned that its possible to envision things and actually see them come to fruition and I've also learned that it wont be easy and that it will require LOTS of HARD WORK. I get so energized by watching you gun at your life the way you do. Thank you for opening up your life so we can have an example to refer to when stuff hits the fan. But, most of all thank you for sharing your story. I cannot wait to let my story do for others what yours has done for me.

Karin, I'm so proud of what you have accomplished and all your hard work. This vlog got me emotional, especially towards the end when you talk about recharging and enjoying life. Wow. You have a strong energy that can destroy all obstacles. If I was an interior designer and surrounded with alot of obstacles and especially the coronavirus that is slowing the furniture and market... I think I would quit. I know I'm not major in the interior design but this inspires me to finish my pre-requisites for nursing. Yes, I'm majoring nursing but I watch the videos because you set an example to everyone to stay positive and keep moving forward no matter what.

Each episode is more inspiring than the previous one. Being creative on demand is something that lots of designers struggle with and I'm glad when you mention that.
