a week of plant things #25 part 2 - repot & chat / plant watering / tent updates 

Someone listed some old school lockers. I showed my 16 year old son and he said “get those. They’re sick”. So I asked if I can buy them and she said pickup on the weekend (it was currently Tuesday). So I let my son know we would pick up on the weekend so make space and be ready to come with me etc. He confirmed. So this lady held them for us. Saturday comes and I remind my son about coming with me to pick up the lockers. He said he’s changed his mind. I said she’s held them for you, you can’t just waste peoples time like that. He said again he doesn’t want them because he can’t be bothered. I messaged the lady and asked if she’d had any other offers because my son was being a turd but I also didn’t want to stuff her around (if she had no other offers I’d go get them myself). She was so lovely and understanding and told me not to stress about it. I hate being stuffed around, but I hate even more stuffing other people around. I’m so grateful that she sympathised with the situation, and she said she had other offers on it so not to worry. It works both ways. I’ve had people change their mind because life happens and they can’t make it happen and that’s fine. But the people who just ghost and not show up are so rude. Especially if you end up selling to someone else and then they message back to say they wanted it (after not showing up). Kindness goes a long way.

It’s peaceful watching you water the plants and poles.

There were just so many people asking for ridiculous discounts and sometimes at the same time asking me to delivery for free because of all sorts of reasons. But at the same time there were some nice people who are sweet and I always give them discounts on their return purchase. But still I just can’t handle those annoying people who would ruin my good mood for the whole day. So I ended up with a house flooded with plants rn :)

Those orange leaves really are pretty. With the yellow leaves, it’s like a rainbow of leaves.

Haha I'm still wearing the maternity jeans I got 6 years ago!! They are still soo comfy.. But be prepared to buy a nursing bra, it's a lifesaver and totally worth the money..

I always put first come first sure in my marketplace listings. Because of all the ghosting and no shows.

I had the same people saying the same things on Facebook Marketplace aswell. Also always asking for a cheaper price. And making so many excuses. I just gave up selling things on there. But i also come across people like that too in everyday life which i just don’t have time for that. In my young age i had so many friends and families take advantage of me too which i always helped them and make time for them. But i just gave up on these people as the other way around me asking for help I didn’t get it and those people didn’t make time for me. Is just better off cannot depend on people you can only depend on yourself. I have so many baby things stored if we lived in the same country would love to give them to you to use. 😊

This is why in ANY ad I post on marketplace I always put in there 1. First come first served 2. No holds without a nonrefundable deposit I still get stupid people messaging me but at least with that in there if they get mad about it I just ask if they actually read the description.

I've been reversed ghosted recently. Where sellers ghost me right after asking for my address and paypal 💀. It sucks because I end out missing out on other plants I could've gotten while waiting for their replies.

When I sell on market place and first contact is made to and I say yes, are you interested. If I don’t hear from them in 24 hours I write back, and ask if they’re still interested. 24 hours later if I don’t hear from them I archive the conversation and make sure it’s still listed. I take the initiative to ask because I’m antsy to sell things.
