@@NormaNight i saw your eye video. I lost my eye to an IED. My thumbnail is me in Baghdad waking up from a coma. But i like the unique eye. I have one that's a purple heart medal instead of an 👁️. I also have one that is like when u look into a gun scope its the circle with cross arrow sights. Saw yours and thought that was cool. U should have fun with life's challenges. Ok I took your advice in a way. Some nights I sit at my desktop computer and scroll endlessly, then get frustrated that it's only showing me ads and old content (because I've seen all the new stuff). So I decided to let social media live only in my phone and not in my desktop, since the phone strains my eyes enough that I won't scroll it endlessly. It's been a week, and it's been great. I've gotten a lot of writing done, did some travel planning, did some scrapbooking, and really didn't miss social media at all because I could still see it on my phone if I wanted. I think I'll keep it up for a while.
Ahhh I am jealous! I love the new phone and I'm glad it's working out so well for you! I'm going to attempt to hold myself to using the app limits for now, but it's good to know this is an option that has worked so well for you!

Love your channel! I had been thinking of downgrading as well. As a fellow creative, I don't get to draw or write as I used too because I get too consumed with Tiktok and Instagram. I want to go back to those times we only use phones for communication and digital cameras for photography/vlogging :)
I find it all pretty interesting, I cut down my social media usage massively in the past year. The only one i have now is Instagram, and my daily average is about 40 minutes a day, which isn't too bad, but I'd like to reduce that further. I say this as I'm watching your video to wind down for sleep 😂 so still a work in progress...You've inspired me to try and give reading a go before bed instead of any electronics! I'm always thinking about when I can get through my backlog!
This makes me so happy! I’ve gotta really do this in some ways. I scroll on Tiktok a lot but lately I’ve not gotten on it in over a week because I’ve switched to RU-vid and RU-vid shorts. I find that I don’t scroll near as long as well as I’ve decided to put my phone on the charger the moment I get in bed and read instead. I think if we’d just set certain boundaries with ourselves we’d all feel a little bit better. I also use my phone as a crutch when I’m anxious and I’ve got to change that. Thank you for this, truly. I miss the days when checking social media was on our desktops, as well as before it even existed. This is refreshing! ❤
Because of this Video I purchased a flip phone.. I got it last week but sadly I didn't look up if it's SIM locked and unfourtunately it was x.x SO... I purchased a new one today and I can't wait for it to be delivered

Ahhh you have the phone I really wanted but the seller mark up price was wild so I went for this instead! I actually have gotten used to it so much now that if content creating wasn’t my job I’d probably just use this full time! I love it so much 😭

I had to do a sim transfer on the same network and the only way I could do it was by using a ‘middle’ network so I bought the cheapest phone for that sim- literally gave me such 2k9 nostalgia 😂 I only used it for a day but it was so fun - literally made me remember being in school and waiting for my mum, scrolling through the photos on the gallery because apps didn’t exist and if you hit the internet button you’d run out of money 😅

wtf is happening im being showered by flip phone content all of a sudden just when i decided to buy one. i ordered a cat s22 unlocked android and really really looking forward to typing t9 like its 2005 and still be able to use banking apps 🤗 i only wish it had the 3.5mm headphone jack.
@@NormaNight Yeah, figured. It's the same in Italy. Also they've been gradually removing them for years and sending them to the scrapyard, but seldomly you can still find some phone boxes in veeery small cities. I guess the costs for removing them were not worth the hassle so they're still standing there as a testament to the past. Keep flipping!
I don’t get it. You’re advertising a lifestyle without easy access to social media but by doing it as your job and posting frequently you’re further condoning the problem. I get where you’re coming from but this isn’t the way to tell people about how great your life is without social media
