Hi Maya its wonderful to see you and Emma having such a great time and thank you for sharing it with us as many of us will never be able to visit the cool places you have been . I am slowly using an Epilator to get rid of my facial hair as it was to light for Lazer treatment (grey really) and whilst it is a lot more painfull than they say I watch your videos to remind me that its all worthwhile . Thank you for all the inspiration you have given me and many others , you have changed many lives for the better .

I was actually in New York about 15 years ago but I didn’t learn the history of birdland or the song it inspired until a few years later. Oh I wish I would have known. Maybe someday I’ll get to go back.
My son is living there in Manhattan for another year and a half he's a bit worn out on the very high prices. From June to September the summer can be brutal with he heat and humidity.

There is virtually nothing that you cannot find of do in New York. Next time you're there, spend a day in the "Met" (Metropolitan Museum of Art). World class exhibits. Endless art historical icons that we've all seen and read about in art textbooks our entire lives (I'm an art historian and professional visual artist. It's an experience and vibe that I'm sure you will appreciate as well.) will blow you away when you see them "in the flesh". 😮 It is New York's equivalent to the Louvre in Paris. I've obviously missed some major changes in your life over the past few years--your diet was conspicuously un-vegan the whole time you were in NY. I found that most peculiar given your passion for vegan cuisine for so many years now. A huge change for you! I also suggest seeing the 9-11 museum located in the World Trade Centre footprint. A sobering, but awesome and momumental experience. I've been visiting that location ever since it was just a 7-acre hole in the ground after the attack. As I know that you are a history buff and serious humanitarian, I'm certain that you will find the whole thing extremely moving. Happy New Year to you and your family, Maya. Eric & Jessica,.. or Redford & Fonda,.. very cool,.. ) He'd show off their 5' x 8 ' apartment,.. discussing how to sonic ally kill rats,.. comming from the Tai restaurant below,.. This guy,.. (A fashion Model,.. & surfer,.. from NJ,.. ) flew to Paris,.. from NY, NY,.. & proposed to his then girlfriend,.. under the Eiffel Tower,.. while ,.. She was on a photo-shoot,.. & I'm sure he had to beg borrow & steal,.. the airfare.) - (They don't make,.. what you might think,..) - The Story Hooked me,.. As with all stories,.. Eric left Jessica,.. & partied,.. (Since becoming popular,..) - It was a cool dream while it lasted though. Their whole tale & struggle to survive,.. in NY/NY,.. really got me. (They'd be bantering about things,.. picking out Xmas Trees,.. Eric,.. would do pull-ups on the Transit trolley tracks,.. he'd save money,.. create his own gym,.. wherever it made sense,.. I really like that,.. adaptation!) - Actor's strike?,.. there's some reality TV,..(No writers).
From NYC here.. There is “nova” and there is “lox”. Lox is salty, nova is not… So you can’t really say “Nova lox” I’m Jewish and I know you aren’t so you get a pass lol. I haven’t been to NYC since I moved at 32 yrs old-nice to see what is new going on there. You should go next time to the Holocaust museum. Never heard of Birdland Jazz… I used to go to Blue note Cafe and still do when I go back. Cafe D’artists is a classic great restaurant on the upper West side-If you go to the Museum of Natural History…
Whoops! Definitely had the Nova salmon then haha. I didn’t know about the NYC museum, but I went to the holocaust museum when I was in London last year-it was unforgettable. Glad you enjoyed the video, Birdland was definitely a highlight! ✨
@@Mayavhenry Oh just checked and Cafe Des Artists closed in 2009! I went to Fashion and design school in NYC and we used to go there. All the artists hung out. Sorry to see such a landmark is gone.. There is one in Jupiter Florida…perhaps the owner moved down and opened one here…I’ll have to check it out since Im an hour away
Hope you had a nice trip to our country. Don't travel to far into the country though. Not as good here, as you think. We have pretty big problems. Might as well have gone to a 3rd world country.
you we all fall short and need help I just as you give jesus a try in your life you have nothing to lose Jesus love you and he will talk to you if you just let him talk to you and all you have to do is be still in your troubls and ake hime to help you and you need to have faith in him that all but Jesus worsk on his own timing not your timing just give it a try . Maya you sad your going threw atlot suing your landloard and how your life sucks . Really evrything will be ok. and that you are not a spirtual person sum what but found Wicka works for U that you even got to cast a spell and it worked for you. I just like to say. Just me and how I cope with life first Im not incontrol the harder I try to be incontrole of my life the more it sux and nothing works out to my plan. The only thing that works for me is to let go and tell my self I cant do it im helpless to a point im not downing my self but realy relying on my spritual power Jesuse he will work for you
hey, try not to say "a" transgender - it's not commonly perceived well and it sounds kind of demining just transgender will do the job "So, the sister is transgender as well? Nice!" not trans myself just trying to help out so you don't put off any bad vibes (and i don't know her sister's gender status nor do i care, you shouldn't really either but do you)
At what point do you become comfortable enough in your new skin to stop referring to yourself as a trans woman? It would seem that since you would have had all of the surgeries and hormone replacement therapies that you are pretty much indiscernible from a natural born female to to the average person. Perhaps there is a time when you can just put your origin story behind you.
