In late September of 2023, the Commemorative Air Force brought B-25J “Miss Mitchell” into Kansas City for a weekend event partnered with the TWA Museum. Throughout the weekend, I had the privilege to get numerous closeup angles with this historic beauty and even take a ride in this piece of history!
North American B-25 Mitchell serial number 44-29869 (now N27493) was one of 6,608 B-25s built at Kansas City’s Fairfax plant. This plant is now a General Motors plant, but when overflying the plant, you can still see the remnants of the Fairfax plant’s runways. Be on the lookout for that as you watch the video!
