Kai, I live in RI and have always been interested in this sport and all that it has now become. I have been very ill with shingles affecting my eye the past 2 and 1/2 months. So much pain but everyday, I have watched your videos as well as all surf videos. I am thrilled to see your generation progressing this sport. I am so thankful for electronics that have allowed us to watch all of the newest inventions. Although, now 70 yrs old I live vicariously through viewing the athletes and am glad that you take your responsibility to the younger surfers, seriously. That is the most important: your legacy to those watching and looking for role models. Keep up the filming, please.
Fun times! Thanks for sharing! Special thanks from those of us who love the ocean and surfing, but live places where there are no waves. Cheers from DC!
Hi! I came across your video “Caught inside by 50 foot wave in Mexico POV” and this video is the second one I watched. I was curious to know what was your ethnicity? 😊
Amazing clip. Maui is such a unique place on earth. Did you recover well from the nightmare wipeout at nazare? Big respect for your courage und skills. Your style is legendary!! Greetings from Bavaria germany
Kai, it must have been four or five years ago when you were doing the same thing with a paddle board. That was a most excited I'd ever seen anyone on video. That board had more volume and surface area, plus you had the paddle for thrust. In this feature, how on Earth did you guys get started at Hookipa? Were you towed, or did you prone paddle to get started?
Please Kai, moar videos! I think it would be pretty cool to see any Florence sibling, or JOB wearing a harness and kite bar in their hands, although at least the Florences have gone for wing foiling. Nate quoting George Castanza is pretty awesome.
Not to state the obvious since it isn't obvious to me - is that why Elvis says "Blue" Hawaii! For its crystal turquoise seas? Totally appropriate. Crazy beautiful!
Hi Kai , amazing down wind foiling ! what size of foil will you recommand to do it for a 72kg (160ibs) surfer trying doing down surf foil for first time ?
