I really like your channel and your style, I slowly move on from my italian style trousers wardrobe to more ample trousers like yours. I agree Grey jacket is difficult to pair. The dark grey trousers is a solution but which tie, shoes and shirt would you pair them with ? I imagine that with a white or pale pink shirt, burgundy shoes and tie. What do you think of that ? Monochrome of grey/black could also be a solution but I would find it to dark and sad.

@Anthony M. Good observation Anthony. Navy odd trousers are NOTORIOUSLY difficult to pair with odd jackets. Much like GRAY ODD JACKETS. The point of the video tutorial is HOW TO “OPTIMIZE” your sport coat/odd trouser wardrobe. And hence the focus on colors that offer the most versatility. PROFF

@@AskOkeyInc Navy odd trousers work very well with most light to medium earth tones, such as the subtle gun club overcheck you had. They also work particularly well with grey jackets in my opinion. As far as my experience with them is concerned, they are more versatile than people give them credit for, and certainly more versatile than olive or dark brown trousers.

@@azizquadri5824 Aziz, You are absolutely correct. Navy pants work well with gray jackets and some Gun-clubs. And maybe a tan jacket but that’s about it. I still won’t consider it a primary color for a trouser wardrobe. Our mileage may differ, but I think olive is more versatile especially with Earth Toned Fall Odd Jackets. PROFF

I own a great pair of navy flanel trousers with a subtle prince of wales pattern. I pair them with grey, brown or tan jackets

Do you wear braces whenever you wear the AskOkey trousers? I know they are designed to have a certain fit that isn't loose or tight so that they drape correctly and lack belt loops.

Some of our trousers (flat front) come with side adjusters It’s BESPOKE and you can have it as you wish

What type of sport jacket would you wear with jeans ?

Tweed is nice, so is corduroy and open weave wools or silks. You have to figure it out, also, the wash and cut of the jeans is important. Check out Permanent Style's articles on the subject or look up Jamie Ferguson and the brand Drake's if you want to see it pulled off greatly

Very well said @falfan Mario. I would add this Anthony @Anthony M. I typically avoid tailored sport coats with jeans. Why? Because very often, jeans call for a short or cropped jacket. Something I rarely do. Most of my tailored coats are cut on the longer side. That being said, it could work if you’re willing to wear shorter tailored jackets. PROFF

@Donald Odom. Very good observation Donald. We noticed that during editing the video. Next time we’ll try to position and aerial camera for details. We shoot with three video cameras simultaneously. But even with three cameras, one often runs into limitations. Maybe a fourth camera?? 😁 PROFF

@falfan Indeed my friend. Good observation. Much of RTW knitwear are cut longer in the body. The proper knitwear for high rise trousers should be shorter but unfortunately can only be had via custom or MTM.

@@AskOkeyInc Okey, i suggest you look the brand Rubato and Stoffa. The former only produces high quality knitwear for high rise trousers and vintage detailing, while the latter has some models that are cut shorter as well. Maybe even Drakes or the Armoury have something for you. Cheers!
