As we begin our 8th session of the winter in what seems more and more like an impossible pursuit of a 3lbs Grayling, we also near the end of our allocated window within which to target these fish. With every new session comes renewed hope, but as the number of these sessions nears double figures, we are very aware that we are running out of time.
Nevertheless, chapter 8 of ‘A Winter’s Tale’ provides a chance to explore yet another beat of this amazing river. There is no doubt that the effort levels are present in adequate proportions; all that’s missing is that little bit of luck that we all require when pursuing a big fish.
Will today be the lucky day?
