She has a great voice, but more importantly, the way she dictates her words is quite distinct. She was at one time one of the most popular and top selling female artist in whole of Mandopop, then she walk off to be a wonderful wife and mum to her family. Great personality and always a joy to hear her songs.

she mentioned in one of the interviews before that her mentors (Lee Wei Song and Lee Si Song) would go through the song with her, and had very distinct requirements for every note/word ...

Thanks for the links! Crazy to think about how time flies. I would have been 10 years old then... Music in general has changed so much since 2001.

@@spiderhandspnz but in the mandopop scene, shes still crazily popular (that virtual concert had 240 million people listening in). some say she's like a timestamp in our youth days
