Marceau DPM, Kleb arcs, Vamp2 firestarting, 10km-range improved Halland torps, smoke, the most useful DD radar overall in the game, good HP pool, high speed.
Just a few aspects of a ship that is weak because it can eat torps when the captain has room temp IQ, has bad turret angles, and it's not impossible to hit.

Please play the druid. Would love an in-depth explanation on how it so effectively shits on every dd in the game. And why people think it's bad.

if it cant 1v12 it's weak...unless its a cruiser or torpedo ship that is, it's ok for those to be weak

This is a great video and really useful, thanks. I definitely agree stuff could be taken away and it would still be an awesome ship. I think it must be just "skill issue" because I have like 60+% win rate in Daring and Gearing but I've only played about 20 battles in this but found it hard to make an impact, mostly because I just didn't know how it should be played, like what range I should be fighting other dds at. I guess the only question for me is the concealment but I'm gonna give the build a try, cheers. Yeah it's funny when you mention the torps at the end compared to Halland. I mean logically they should upgrade the Halland torps (the supposed torp boat) but I'm not holding my breath.

I think the only reason Gdansk gets a pass from this playerbase is it is significantly harder to play than the other OP gunships like Smaland Ragnar Lushun etc. And there are definitely games (low dds, lost of radar cruisers) where you struggle a lot more than other gunboats do.

Haven't played this car a whole lot. I think the only reason I don't like this thing is because I'd rather just be playing Smaland in almost every situation, Gdansk is just too much of a bus for me to like it. It's far from the best T10 DD for that reason alone. I will try this build though, never really thought about it that way.

tbf I don't have Smaland. I would argue Gdansk is actually better vs DDs and at HE farming BBs than Smaland...but Smaland is better at everything else and overall better.

@@hagostaeldmann Gdansk is the 4th largest DD in the game and the gun angles are terrible. I would actually say that Smaland is better against DDs with the heal, the stupid engine boost and the significantly smaller hull. If you run into a Gdansk, you're going to lose some health and not be able to take the cap. If you run into a Smaland, you better hope you're in something like a Kléber or you're just dead. As for farming BBs, Smaland has more DPM and the same fires per minute and AP if needed. The arcs might be worse but you still take AFT for a reason.

halland might be the single lowest impact tier 10 dd in the game...hard to think of one with overall less battle impact.

@@hagostaeldmann the point is subs waste Gdansks radars. and because of high detection, Gdansk gets spotted all the time and since it's a large target compared to other DDs and it dies very quickly. DDs with low detection and/or high maneuverability is much better vs subs.
