I was at the Zack Sabbath show😊 in Boston front row I tried so hard to get one at Zakk's guitar picks I've been trying for years to get one so I could display it with the one I got from Saint dime bag at St Eddie Van Halen but unfortunately I did not catch one he didn't throw any out on my side of the stage and JD fingerpicks But I did get two guitar picks from the lead guitarist of the opening act native howl they were actually very surprisingly good.As always Zakk and the boys kick ass as always

Its interesting that the conversation turned to guitar shapes. I've always wanted an SG customized to my specifications, with the bottom coming to a small subtle point (that I've seen elsewhere), and the horns being slightly more pointy. Unfortunately, customizing guitars is a prohibitively expensive and sometimes unattainable venture. Take Gibson for example. They often refuse body shape nuances, fretboard radius, and even colours that don't sit within the exsisting coveted Gibson specification guidelines. Its doubtful that they'd creat an SG with a subtle point at the bottom of the body.

I was behind his rig for MetLife when they opened, only things from dimes rig were the doubler/flanger, noise gate, and the whammy pedal, other than that it was all his stuff (amps too). It’s like he used his rack and that’s it

Zakks absolute need to always talk in analogies and being very, very, very bad at it is extremely exhausting in all his interviews makes it extremely exhausting to listen to. Love him though.

I remember these same hard rock artists making fun of blues guys like the ones I was into like srv, and so on talk about how they sound good, but had no layers of effects in their playing 😂 it hilarious to hear the same players all grown up and elderly statesman of basically saying the same shit. Bottom line, is tone and talent start with minimal effects, then gradually incorporate the use and mastery of effects is the old guard way
