Hey yall, it's been a year since I went to the cut it kinky trained/no oils no butters natural hair salon and the stylist tried to ruin my type 4 natural hair. Since then, I have found a new stylist so come along with me as I share my experience during this natural hair salon visit and getting another detailed professional trim on my Type 4 natural hair.

I visited a natural hair salon for a trim almost two years ago and ended up having to cut my long type 4 natural hair. This is ridiculous. It's so hard to find competent stylist that do natural hair and they not only clowned, but made your name look bad. 2:59 SAME. When I tell you I was about to start crying. I really wanted my hair to grow back for my birthday because last year I met my hairline go that I didn't even know that I was searching for it because I didn't even know it was going to grow that long. Then I realize when the new year was about to come that I had thinning edges, and so I cut that part off, just for the next day for me to destroy my hair with a DIY hair mask. So then I cut it again, and I start crying 😭😭. I cut it literally 20 times over the next couple of months, I got my hair down to 5 inches 😭😭. I said well hopefully I can get my hair back next year's birthday. Not actually believing it was going to grow at all. And you know how that 4 c will do (coil even more intense as it grows), I literally thought my hair had not grown over these last couple of months. But it grew back by my birthday (November 20th) 😭😭😭. So happy for your hair's progress in this length. Hopefully by the end of this video, you will have no issues with any thinning ends.

Hey SheRea! Of course we gonna watch the whole thing-here for the progress and motivation. Our hair grows!! I’m getting my 8week trim this Saturday. I’ve been going every 8 weeks for 14 months now and it’s working for me. The retention is crazy. At my one year mark, I retained 5 inches. I estimated that I grew about 8 (drinking fenugreek water IS life for my skin and inches). Wash n go season is where I experience most of my ssks per usual but idk-I like my wash n gos.

I have capsules as well but research shows that sprouting your seeds in water, allows for almost 80% nutrient absorption compared to the… I think less than 15% with non-sprouted seeds. Curly Hair Crisis has more info on this but it’s been a while since I’ve refreshed my memory on the numbers.

Went to the salon today had to chop off 4 inches cause I haven't trimmed since April 😢 split end traveled up my hair shaft. My new hairdresser was so nice because he was like, "Are you sure?" I said yes, my original salon hasn't had an opening in months. I postponed waiting and damaged my growth. Time to get to booty length hair!!!!

You don't understand how BADLY I wish a cosmetologist/ hairstylist like Khadijah could be IN MY STATE, let alone my city, and people are just gonna act a fool like this! That took me out too.... I have an obsessive personality so.... I cut off half and dyed it lol! That’s good that your stylist talks to you, mines is like a drill sergeant! She doesn’t like me to ask about any of her products or take any videos. It’s time for me to get another stylist. She’s does well at styling, but she needs to work on her people skills.

No oils no butters really doesn’t make sense as hair care. This is because hair needs lubrication not “moisture” aka water. Hair is naturally hydrophobic in it’s healthy state that means it repels water. Oils and butters coat the hair strands help keep water out which is actually good for hair and reduce friction between the hair strands. So it’s actually good to use them on the hair to condition.

the last 6 months I've had to do an extreme trim myself, extreme is about an inch a month for the last 6 months. im due to trim off the last inch in a few days, and I plan on doing my next trim in 3 months.

Just got a trim before my sew in 2 weeks ago! My stylist trimmed a little less than an inch because my last trim was in April😬. I had the nerve to act shocked when she trimmed that much 🤭🤭

First, i want to say your hair has come a long way. It looks so full and healthy and i love that for you😍 Second, it sucks that people don't know how to act. I actually went to her around my birthday time in April like i told you i would (not sure if you remember) and i overall enjoyed my time. I realized I'm shy though so i didn't say anything lol. But i didn't treat her any way but with respect. Im not sure why these ppl in their big age acting up and out. Definitely ashamed of others actions because this why we can't have nice things 😢

I stop using raw oil and grease October 1st. I have zero complaints as of now. I miss sealing with grease (the feeling of how the grease clings to my strands), but my hair doesn’t seem to miss it as of now. We shall see !! I have high porosity hair, so I hope I’m not doing my hair an injustice .

@@tashajones3661 that’s the thing though I miss the feeling of grease on my hair but I don’t miss grease transfer 😩. And my hair feels so light and airy. But it’s just something I’m trying for now . I may start back with the grease in January .
