For a start: earth rotates 1070 km/h but the clouds do not change on their "footage". We never see a real video of the whole planet only real crappy animations. (for ex. Google 2015 dark side of the moon video, which is said to be real)
2:14 - something goes wrong - beeps going crazy - Mishaa!! - - - wait... Preparation for movement Misha.. my friend.. We already this this! - Oh sorry my bad. Is he high? (Pun intended) LOL!
I have to say that this man is my hero. I've read his book Endurance at least 5 times and I still read it from time to time. He is the Neil Armstrong of our time. I can't belive some people thought that NASA never went to space. This is a beautiful documentary and it's proof of what can happen when people work together to achive something great.
Lol, the Russian cosmonauts are surprisingly vulgar, I wouldn't have expected that. They don't include it in the translation (I speak it) but you need not be fluent to hear them dropping the blyat bomb repeatedly as they approach the space station after about 4:00 onwards 😅
We Russians mostly use obscene words to Express emotions. In reality, we almost don't gesticulate and stand like pillars. For example everyone knows blyat` this is an extremely offensive word for a woman. But in the conversation it`s word undertones of extreme delight. It's hard to explain, but the point is that almost all rude words have a second emotional meaning.
Having just finished reading Endurance, this is beyond fascinating visualizing just his habits and daily routines aboard the station! Especially the journey to the ISS on the Soyuz while being "stranded" for a few days prior to docking lol! Exceptional stuff!
It's so weird watching this series because I just finished reading Scott's book, "Endurance" and I keep getting to parts in the series and I already know it. But it's still super cool.
It's cool to see the Soyuz being operated routinely during the middle of the trip. We usually only get to see launch and docking. It looks quite cramped with the guys on the side having to sit bent to the right or left. Two days of that would not be fun.
Jesus. People should be finding this completely astonishing, instead they're thinking it's one big fake propaganda message. So so disappointing. The moon is a self-illuminated disc *face palm*
Not only that, some idiot branch of the main idiots think the Moon is somehow a hologram and there's nothing there, it's just "them" tricking us... who is "them" you ask? Pretty much everyone else.
Most of space videos have kind of burned pixels on the screen. Have someone else noticed that? I wonder if it has to do with those particles wich come from the sun and may damage electronic devices. Any wonders? Just tought it would be fun if it would be caused by that and we can actually "see" them somehow.
This is a very unusual documentary. I have never seen some of the angles filmed from before. Docking for example - I have never seen it quite like this
However, I was impressed with the soyuz Commander gennady padalka reason he is the longest human being in space, he is not arrogant, like low self-esteem, gennady padalka, if you see a my comment, I want you to know that I was so amazed at you and you are inspired to me live the spirit like you.. congratulations on all missions have you managed to walk through the ... you are the heroes gennady padalka, ...
You can jump together with something like a ball, just hold a ball, jump and release its once you are airborne, you will feel zero G for a very short amount of time, but it is still pretty cool.
With such a large place and easy to lose track of each other, maybe one needs to install intercoms, if not at least a WiFi network and (voice) IMs on your mobile devices.
Funny how all Russian swear words were lost in translation :). For example 'Ох бля' is far from 'Oh man', cause one would not say that in vicinity of small kids.
momomiko10 sorry im late but chris hadfield said that there is something the floats above the ISS call the fly around or go around i dont know the name but he said it in a video about his space oddity song breakdown
ive done a little work on my own car and i feel like a good way to think about their lives is like working in a pain in the ass spot under the hood but your entire life is that.
What does she mean “the space station is orbiting over our heads every day and we have no idea it’s there”. Of course we know it’s there!!!!. Everyone I know, knows it’s there. And if we didn’t we certainly do now,
Man those visuals of earth from space ...... just mind blowing..... Also how often do they shower while they are up there and how do they do it. And what if someone wants to have sex......... How will that go.
I have no idea what's look like at the space outside there but when I watch this In my imagination is like.. I want to go there if I could have enough money to pay for this company 🤔
So if life on earth was destroyed by like a natural disaster, technically people would still exist because those in space wouldn’t be effected. What if a zombie outbreak were to happen (yes I know it’s not real but let’s imagine for a second), how bad would it suck to either be stuck and likely die up there or risk coming back down?
