😆😆 Apologies for any undue stress. I did notice while editing that the candle looks much more precarious on camera than in real life. 🙈 No clothes were harmed or singed in the making of this video. 😆 Thank you & thanks for watching! 😊❤️
I recently(a week ago) picked up sewing as a hobby and coming across your channel is like a blessing!!! Thank you for sharing amazing sewing patterns. ❤
😆😆 YES! This made me smile so big! Thrilled to head the “I don’t know what I’m doing” sewing club, in my opinion the best sewing club to be a part of 😉😆❤️❤️❤️
That green dress is perfection on you. The color is amazing with your skin. Have you ever gotten your colors done? All beautiful work and great progress! ❤
I have only just started sewing and I made one of the easy tops that you recommended in one of your videos, so thank you! I’m so inspired to see what you have made further along in your journey! Xx
@@CaitMakes of course! It was the Essentials Club Ruffle top! I’m thinking of making a dress version too 😁 and I never usually have my shoulders and arms out but the ruffle and bows make me feel like I’m not exposed, it’s so clever and comfortable 👍
Thank you so much! You could absolutely make it! I have two videos on the making-of that dress if you end up wanting to give it a go to help you along the process. 😊
A pattern for that red skirt would be godly 🙏 also for that bridgerton inspired dress maybe try layering it with an under bust corset, I think that would look nice
Absolutely love these wrap up videos. So inspiring!!!!! I get so excited when you upload anything, you're probably one of my favourite sewing channels ❤
It makes MY DAY that you replied ❤ literally going to make that bubble frock next it's so cute. I found 3 yards of champagne silk at the opshop - I'm thinking black top and champagne skirt. So excited
Looooved all these pieces!! I'd love a pattern for that skirt, I've been trying to find something similar so would definitely appreciate it :) Can't wait to see what you make during the next year!!
Beautiful makes! I have the same colour palette as you, love all your clothes!! Thanks for reminding me of the puff and pencil tie top, I have a half made one in a box which I need to revisit!!! Just subscribed! 🥰
congratulations, your sewing skills are great. I have learned about so many new patterns from you!, I would recommend Gracie Steel Patterns from Australia, I think you would like her dresses, especially the Frolic Frock x
Thanks! Yay, welcome to the sewing club! Absolutely do it, dresses are SO FUN to make. Just start with something marked beginner-friendly. I’d recommend one with a corresponding RU-vid video, if you’re more of a visual learner like me and you’ll have no problem! Best of luck and thanks for watching! 😊❤️
This is the first time the algorithm has thrown you over my way. I am really enjoying your makes for the year. On the bustier dress did you put flowers right where the nipples go on purpose? I just think it kind of stands out and might not be the best look for a bustier. I think it’s more common practice to try to avoid placing something rather noticeable in that area. Just a thought. I think you’re doing really well for only sewing for two years. I believe that I will subscribe to your channel, and see what happens next.
Ugh loveee the bustier dress but I get so intimidated by anything with cups! I have an extremely narrow rib cage but a larger bust so I feel like it just complicates things 😩
I’m with ya, it’s a tough one but I think it’s just one of those styles that you have to try and fail at a couple of times in order to get right. I would suggest not doing what I did and making just the top portion first in a muslin or super cheap fabric to test out the fit. That’s what I plan on doing on my next go ‘round haha. Wishing you lots of luck, and mostly lots of bravery to just go for it even when it’s scary because it’s fun 😊❤️
@@CaitMakes it's frustrating because it seems like a lot of sewing patterns don't account for people with a large bust + smaller body. Like they'll only do bigger cups in the bigger sizes. I never thought to do a test run using cheap fabric though - that's actually such a good idea! Thank you so much for the words of encouragement!!
Hi, that dress is about 90% self-drafted. I have two videos on the making of it if you'd like to use them as a reference to get a similar result. The only pattern I used was the Isila Dress (linked above in the description) for the bodice portion but I made some tweaks to that as well.
I see a theme here. I think the cups are too low on you, you're somewhat long-waisted. You may need to add more length in that area of the bodice below the cups, so the cups sit higher.
