Best of luck to Galway on Sunday, they bring an excitement and skill that is unmatched by any other county. I hope they do it and inspire another generation.
1998: We beat Derry in semi final and win the Sam Maguire. 2001: We beat Derry in semi final and win the Sam Maguire. 2022: We beat Derry in semi final and…… Poor ould Kerry don’t stand a chance! A week til Sunday 😍
This is everything a documentary should be. An impartial glass pane into the season. More importantly , it captured the essence of that team. Sean Og, Donnellan, Joyce. Those biys were unbeatable. Absolute poetry in motion. #jais the man ...the postman always delivers
Dublin fan, stumbled across this. Great documentary, I had never seen it before. Mad to see Mick Byrne helping out. Firstly, I thought he was soccer only. Secondly, I thought he was Dublin only!
As painful as it is to watch this... I appreciate the upload... I was at every game that year bar the final... Couldn't get a ticket for the final.. Watched it in some dodgy pub on Talbot Street.
That's the hard thing about the GAA, sometimes real fans get shut out of seeing the finals from the stands. It's all about "who you know", Ireland in a microcosm really.
I watched this game in friends house in Tallaght Galway defender touched ball on the ground in front of his own goal with 2 minutes left and ref ignored it. GAA always like a draw
@ 50:22 It's the culmination of the Bank of Ireland football championship of 1998 between the two teams they have gone through over 800 training sessions hours and hours of talks and training and it came down to the final time. over the years in galway there is talks that there's been talk that weather we beat Mayo and Roscommon within the same championship year that we'll go on to win the Sam Magire cup. Not since 1966 gave galway have won it not since 1928 have kildare have won it
The song title is mentioned above if you click Show More in the description but it's nowhere to be found on RU-vid. It's called Iowa Sting by Richard Gilks. I found a copy of it here - it's Track #9 on this page www.apmmusic.com/albums/KPM-0243 -
Oh look, an ever gracious Dublin supporter gracing the comment section of a video that has NOTHING to do with Dublin football. Did I spot you under a Great British Bake Off RU-vid clip yammering about Cluxton's paltry All Star collection? I wouldn't be surprised.
O Mahony tellin the players to avoid the newspapers before some match in case they get beaten and they look stupid. But he himself has agreed to do a video of their whole season with behind the scenes coverage? Hypocritical nonsense. Spoofer.
It was actually just that pat comer always had a camera in the back of his van, and he ended up filming the championship as a joke, he had originally tried in 1997 for a bit of craic but it didnt work out. And I think John O'Mahony is 110 percent. He was looking out for the players.
What are you talking about? O'Mahony telling his players to avoid interacting with the media on the eve of a big match has absolutely nothing to do with one of the squad members making a video diary of their season. A video diary that was turned into a documentary AFTER the season was completed. Kindly point out for us what exactly is hypocritical about that.
