⛵ Join us on 59 Norths Farr 65 "Nordic Falken", where Chris and Adam are doing a full engine service. In Part I they will talk you step by step through an oil and oil filter change on Beta Marines B-85T.
Chris has been working for 59 North Sailing since 2022, skippering their Swan 59 "Icebear" from Antigua to Bermuda and from Horta to Bergen. Earlier this year(2023) he has skippered their new flagship "Nordic Falken" all the way from Lagos - Las Palmas - Antigua - Bermuda - Annapolis and recently joined her again in Iceland to sale her to Kinsale and on to Lagos.
Here in Kinsale 59 North Bosun Adam joined the team for a maintenance period and the two of them will show you how they serviced "Nordic Falkens" Beta Marine B-85T engine.
NOTE: Neither of us is aqualified engineer. We just follow the guidelines in the engine manual and add a few tips and tricks we learned over the years. If you have ideas or tips and tricks for an engine service please do write in the comments. We are always happy to learn more!
