Hey Doc what did she say about the ocular and the ketamine? So listen to this I had a couple grams of ketamine years ago I made it last for about six years. I wear reading glasses to read and I noticed it whenever I would do the ketamine (I would do it maybe once every six months) for a week afterwards I wouldn’t have to wear my reading glasses I could see fine and then slowly my eyes would go back to normal which is screwed up. What do you think that is

I've had 10 separate instances of experiencing Anesthesia. This includes one episode for Cataract surgery for the right eye. I've never experienced any negative effects until the recent cataract surgery of the left eye. I believe that it was during recovery from Anesthesia using a Ketamine compound that I experience violent hallucinations to the extent that I felt out of body and the thought occurred that I might be dying. The after math did involve very mild nausea but the psychological effects took some time to quiet down. If I have the option, and I certainly should have it, I will never opt for this kind of Anesthesia again. The Dr. compared my description to descriptions that he had heard of an LSD trip.

You have a glass half empty look at that experience in your life and view it as a negative. With the glass half full approach, you can choose to look back on ketamine as a positive thing that you know was used for you to reach your end goal of still being alive and it has made you stronger and can ask that It not be used again. Ketamine is a dissociative Anesthesia and this is how it worked for me to have a positive outlook on what happens in my life. Ketamine isn't negative or positive it's just ketamine, and it's not for you. Ketamine caused xyz, it's how you look at the experience. Thank you for sharing.

@@Brianomgful Sure don't relate to the "Glass half empty" as it relates to my very negative reaction to Ketamine. I can not find a positive in my experience with Ketamine other than it did provide the required anesthesia. At no other time have I experienced that kind of recovery from general anesthesia. Your argument says I should look at my broken leg as a positive experience. Well I guess if I just focus on when the pain finally quit? I guess I'm just having a hard time understanding how I can get a "Glass half full" out of my reaction to Ketamine.

@@Brianomgful they don't give it to seniors for exactly that reason. Physiological trauma from Ketamine. I think it's because the hallucinagenic effects take them back to memories they didn't even know they had!

Lol. This is not surprising. I use ketamine exclusively for out of body vision quests and astral projections. It's not lsd, it's its own beautiful thing. Maybe your experience would be different if you were in your own bed with soothing music.

I love ketamine. Haven't used any other medication for RSI in about 5 years. Safe. Fast on. No post induction hypotension.
