49 year old male with family history of diabetes. I ordered and received my kit within 3 days. Watched the online video through the QR scan code that came inside the box on an info card. The video was very simple and easy to understand and apply. The kit is very nicely packaged and has plenty of information, especially ially if you are new to checking your A1C. My results just came back and I am 6.2 (pre-diabetic). Very simple way to give me the piece of mind that I need to adjust my lifestyle and dietary choices if I want to heal my body. THANK YOU BIOCOACH for providing this kit to home users like myself.
@@sryder8312 It took a lot of determination. My a1c was 10.3 when I went into the hospital for a infection after stepping on a piece of metal at work that went through my boot and into my big toe.. resulting in my toe being amputated. And being put on insulin..Icut out all carbs and all sugar losing 140 lbs my aic dropped to the 4.8. Went to Dr Monday for a checkup and he took diabetes off my chart said I beat it.
Just got my kit today. I'm 48 years old and diabetes runs heavy in my family, my Dad is Type 2 and my Grandmother on his side was also a Type 2 so it's something I have to look out for and these kits will certainly help me do that. Glad to report my first test today was 5.6 so, I'm JUST below pre-diabetes status. But obviously glad it didn't come up higher. So like I said something I need to pay attention to. But to anyone out there interested in this product, I found it very easy to use. The instruction video above helps as well. Thank you BioCoach!
I think this is a really good video, better than the PTS Diagnostics Co. video, up until around timestamp 3:00. Then two squares cover the screen space. They are two more videos that want you to click on them. However the first video is not even finished yet and they block the current video so you cannot see what they are showing you. I even refreshed my screen and went back to that same timestamp but they are still there. This is frustrating and annoying and keep you from seeing the whole video.
I ordered the kit the other day and I thank you for posting this video because someone told me some of these kits draw blood from a vein. I'm glad this is nothing more than a finger prick since I do that all the time testing ketones and my fasting glucose. I do have a question - how accurate is this kit?
Hi Patrick! The kit is extremely accurate. If you want, we can send you a link to a review video of someone taking you through the process of using the meter as well. We're happy this worked for you and you didn't have to draw blood from your veins lol
@@Biocoach I did take the test and it came in at 5.5. Not perfect since I've been on keto and intermittent fasting for 18 months but at least it wasn't higher. It pretty much falls in line with me being Pre-Diabetic since the fasting glucose hasn't budged from the low 100s. Thanks again!
I’m not sure if I can trust this test. It read 6.1, but blood work from the same day showed 6.3. I thought I was making better progress than I actually was. A little discouraging.
In reading the online pamphlet it states that you must match the lot number of the tester with the device so the number of test that the tester is valid for equates to the number of test in the kit and you cannot purchase additional rather you purchase a new testing monitor and new kit. Is that accurate?
Over the counter tests are called random blood sugar testing, they just give an estimate. This hba1c test is one that the lab will normally check, they usually use a needle, draw blood and send it to the lab.... it's much more accurate. It doesn't range like the drug store over the counter tests like 80 to 100 or even above. The hba1c number tells you if your not a diabetic, pre-diabetic, or diabetic and to what degree of a diabetic you are... so basically you don't have to go to a lab. You can test at home.
I'm surprised and excited to experience how easy it was :) Happy to know my A1C is normal. Yay! 3 more to go. 3:00 Your suggested should be removed as it is covering the rest of the video.
Dr.. My age is 32 years.. One year back 350 to 400 sugar.. Presnt 150 below.. I use metformin 500 mg and weekly two times insulin 40 points... Its better then any solustion plz telme madam... Iam indian.. Andhapradesh.. Visakhapatam
Tests failed. Failed QC check on first run. Tried to use second test set, lancet screwed up - insufficient cut, insufficient blood. Don't waste your money
Took this test and got a 6.8, went and had lab work done the next day and was 7.4!! That’s a huge variation for something like an A1c, extremely disappointed with this test, and very misleading
That’s pretty common for a1c tests. There is variation between manufacturers. It’s important to check your a1c at the same lab every 3 months. The point of care devices are also not quite as accurate but if it’s all you have be consistent and keep using the same type of device every time you check it.
